    Phelps slipped. If you look closely at the turn carefully. And phelps mouths "i slipped" at the end of the race. Take a look at it again

    Phelps could have easily won 2nd place if he got his turn right. If you look at 5:10... he was only .25 seconds from 2nd place. You think that slip at the wall cost him more than that? You bet.

    ***** : Lochte never swim 100m better than phelps do...I know that.... USA still have great chance to win 400relay in pan pacs but in 100free, Magnussen is my favor

    Hoang Le yeah~ i think so too lochte never swim 100m better than phelps do so I think phelps may be have some problem in this race but I have to congrats lochte get 2nd here.. cuz both of them are my idol

    michael phelps isn't know for top end speed, particularly for an event like the 100 free..and he retired for awhile..that is what cost him

    why phelps didn't wear speedo suit? Does Aqua Sphere really has a better quality than Speedo? or just because Phelps didn't do well in this event? anyone have idea?

    I think he was wearing a carbon pro.. Not too sure but I've seen him in that suit at other meets so I guess he likes it.

    Phelps doesn't have a signed contract with speedo anymore. He's working with aqua sphere to create a new tech suit truly designed for swimmers. As for his under performance swim, he said his turn was horrible.

    In 2008, Phelps swam a 47.51, he wasn't in his prime at this meet.

    Shayera Hol But I know many people who have been playing sports like swimming, basketball, tennis since they were very young and once they reached age 20, they turned out to be very tall! Hence, I'm starting to believe that playing sports could add a couple of more inches to your height. Don't you agree?

    More testosterone are produced when doing high intensity activities. More testosterone equates to more hormones, including growth hormones.

    BranFlakesR1337 That was in a relay, though. Unless you're first in the relay, it doesn't count as a world record.
