It does not have a very happy ending. Every one kind of dies except for akame and thier captain.

The anime's ending is trash The manga had better progression and ending I bet (haven't finished reading though)

My favorite anime. Still have the strongest impact on me despite watching other great animes. . Maybe because it's the first I've watched where "luck" isn't always on the protagonists' side making it very much like the real world. Even some of the "Bad guys" are not evil, just having different perspective like the teacher and Wade.
It's 2024, but still, this is my favorite anime. My Top 1 favorite. .
