Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama 1974 - 2018
Музыка
"Sweet Home Alabama" is a song by Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd that first appeared in 1974 on their second album, Second Helping. None of the three writers of the song were from Alabama. "Sweet Home Alabama" was written as an answer to two songs, "Southern Man" and "Alabama" by Neil Young, which dealt with themes of racism and slavery in the American South.
Lynyrd Skynyrd are the ultimate Southern Rock band. Their signature three guitar attack coupled to superb songwriting and massive on stage charisma has rightfully earned them a reputation as one of the greatest live bands of all time. The original band infamously had their career cut short by a disastrous plane crash in 1977 which took the lives of three members plus two of their road crew and seriously injured several others. In 1987 the surviving members reformed the band with Johnny Van Zant taking the place of his brother Ronnie.

Amen!!!!
Man the song isn't the same without Ed playing his own licks on it. Matter fact, most all th songs changed after Ed left the band in 1975 I believe it was.
The black and white footage with Ed King....where'd you dig that up???? I've never seen that or the '77 California performance before!
