I have driven by this beauty for at least 20 years and was always saddened by the neglect. To know now that it might reach its fullest potential is heartwarming. I have been to Spain Italy & France and can easily state that this property, if preserved to its fullest potential, will be an international draw and success story. I can't wait to possibly see it in its glory, but more so, add it to my memory bank.

So awesome!. I am so happy everything has come together to do this preservation! I discovered Lynnewood Hall through KZread's abandoned buildings explorers. Among whom, I think the channel BrosofDecay treated you with the highest respect- great hour-long documentary. Albeit wrong for trespassing, these explorers have given extraordinary worldwide coverage to this fascinating and architecturally significant home. I just saw your talk from 3 months ago at the Notre Dame School of Architecture last nite. I hung on your every word and feasted on every picture. I myself studied at the University of Michigan School of Art and Architecture. I hope that I can one day visit this grand home and tour it's beautiful gardens. Again, congratulations to your benefactor for so generously funding this project and to you both, forgive me I can't remember your names, for helming this incredible restoration. You sir, are like me, vast and extensive knowledge of your subject. It makes me want to move there and start getting my hands dirty! So excited!!!. ❣️👏👏👏😁

Good luck!!! I grew up on Stotesbury Rd in the 1970s and watched the decline and destruction of Whitemarsh Hall. I wish someone had saved that mansion. I'm glad you were able to purchase it and wish you much success on the restoration and resurrection to come.

I just came across this video. And I'm pleasantly surprised, but skeptical. Because so many projects like this have fallen apart because of finances and management. I really hope this is fully vetted and this massive project will get world class artists, stone masons ,preservationists to work on this. I came across Lynwood Hall over 10years ago from a video an urban explorer. I was entranced and floored by this property. And I could only dream of someone saving this building from its inevitable decay. It was incredibly sad and I hoped someone out there would somehow save it. I fantasized of saving it myself. As I love the Edwardian era and it's architecture. Craftsmanship like this needs to be saved. There is a similar mansion here in New Jersey, called Arlington Mansion, in Mahwah ,N.J It was restored just a few years back , for what is said to be $40 million. It is magnificent. I hope that no matter how many years it takes that the public will be able to enjoy and care about preservation. We need to stop destroying homes and historic buildings. It is our country's history! Who ever set up this foundation ,thank you, I will check out your website and fully support this project!

I hate how most of the money was made that led to the creation of most of these mansions. But I feel preserving these great places is important. First, the artistry and creativity of the workers that created these places must be preserved for posterity and it would be a same to let the beauty of such places dissaper. Sounds like they have a good plane on how to use the space.

@@FrancesOlson-rh9kg- I know it was sold off when the second owner - the god and country guy - had it. It would be helpful to the restoration team to be able to at least track them down and refer to the originals. But, I suppose, unless they learn how to carve expertly it won't do them much good? I think the first floor rooms are the only rooms with very expensive materials. Most of the second floor rooms seemed to be molded plaster. I don't think most of the bedrooms or corridors have wood panelled walls.

I think that was in their video message. It is their hope they will bring certain University students in Architecture, horticulture, Art and design into the Mansion to work in a program, as well as trades people to work like under an apprentice program. It will be an effective way to help restore the mansion in the most cost effective way.
