We’re very sad to say farewell to our Chair of Trustees, Lynne Walker. Lynne was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2009, but was fortunate enough to be able to have surgery and survive. It was because of this that Lynne wanted to take action and help transform the future for others affected by pancreatic cancer.
One of the most significant actions she took was joining our Board of Trustees eight years ago before stepping into the role of Chair in 2018. Thanks to Lynne’s guidance and leadership, we’ve made huge strides in taking on pancreatic cancer - like funding over £10m in research to help make the breakthroughs that will save lives.
We asked Lynne a few questions about her time as Chair, and what she’s excited to see from the charity and for people with pancreatic cancer in the future.
