He is my perfect man

I find it fascinating that he prefers the quiet heroes. I am sure he would be surprised to find that he is a quiet hero himself. He lives such an admirable life. Faithful and supportive husband, attentive father, responsible caretaker of the earth, well-spoken and concerned citizen, etc. And always a man of calm, diligence in his work, with a humorous view of himself and the world. Yet, he is a great reader and obviously a deep thinker. Quite the man to be regarded as a hero by the world...

"I'd probably cry if...I got a splinter or something. I fell off my bicycle a couple of years ago...I almost cried recently in New York cause it was so cold" LMAO This man is great!

Whenever this guy played a grumpy role he is absolutely nailing it, but when he smile, it is completely another story. Gosh. This guy is just so beautiful. 😍❤️

I love him! He's a wonderful actor and so charming. I iterally swoon when I see him.

How can I put this without gushing? I am inordinately grateful to this man for his kindness and graciousness to my dear late friend in England who passed away suddenly last March. She spoke to him several years ago at an Italian Institute event in which he was the main speaker. My friend worked as an au pair in Italy after high school so spoke fluent Italian. So when she met Mr. Firth they happily chattered away in Italian until his wife dragged him away. When she was leaving he saw her, stood up and wished her "Buona Serra!" What a gentleman! Thank you, sir.

A friend of mine has met him and talked to him. They spoke in Italian even though she is English as well as she had mentioned to him that she had worked as an au pair in Italy after finishing school. I don't remember the jist of the conversation but he was very kind and gracious. He even said "good night" to her in Italian when he saw that she was leaving the function they were at. sigh...

I've always thought he was attractive in his roles....but this video.....it just made me realize how utterly adorable and beautiful he is!!!

I only saw A Single Man by accident when it was on once late at night, then, I was thrilled to hear he was in The Kings Speech, only to watch it become best picture. I may have to go check out some of his older films when I get around to it... I really can't get over how much he makes you connect with his characters (even only having seen two of them lol).
