My lymphatic system failed me . Three years ago, I was diagnosed with the rare THL DLBCL stage 4 with Cachexia, lymphedema and Ascites ravaging my poor 65 yo body. I went from a healthy 170 lbs down to 105 lbs in 2 weeks! I was a walking corpse. I wanted to die! I was ready. I didn’t want to live anymore. But the doctors and nurses at the VA in Seattle didn’t want to give up on me. I was initially hospitalized for 50 days doing whatever they can to keep me alive. In and out of the hospital within the last three years , I was given chemotherapy, immunotherapy and CAR-T treatments . I cry whenever I recall that period in my life. I was in so much agonizing pain. It was unimaginable. But , here I am , three years later, still breathing and very much alive! What happened? Why did I survive ? A friend said it’s as if the Cancer was “undone!” A curious choice of word …. “Undone!”

Wow, what a story! I'm glad you survived and that you were able to get some good medical care! As far as why you survived, that's beyond my knowledge level.

Amazing. I am under a similar attack but the SoCAL docs wanted me to die and refused to prescribe the meds that were helping me. I did a 6150 but GOD refused to take me home so here I am trying to survive and not knowing why! Some docs are evil.😢😢😢

@SiebertScience I just found you, so will be reviewing all your bids. You have a gift for communicating the facts straight and simple. But expanding on this comment, do you ever build on a given system to include things that can go wrong, such as chronic disease, or in this case, lymphoma? Thanks for the info!

Wow that's the best video I've ever seen on the inner workings of any system. Stellar diagrams and discussion. You should do the entire BODY! :)
I really like your teaching style!
Viewers might have the question “what medical specialist deals with diseases of the lymph system?” Generally the answer is a hematologist (i.e. blood doctor). Thats because essentially arteries, veins, and lymph ducts are all part of one integrated vascular system. Many hematologists further specialize into oncology (cancer docs that focus on treatments that use medications, including immunotherapy, as opposed to radiation or surgery). When I started my lymphoma journey more than a decade ago, it took a long time to get this clear!
Great job! The video provided great help and valuable information. I really appreciated the way you explained every detail. Thank you very much!

Thank you for this informative video. I'm studying Immunology on my own through lectures of different reliable Speaker's and your video on the Lymphatic system is great, except for some scientific terms which are not spelled correctly in the captions.
