It’s like you read my mind. Nothing comes close to Lyme. Came here every RNLI week as a kid, fell in love with it and Geology. I now am lucky to call this home forever, it is truly magical. You can feel the depth of time here, from the ichthyosaurs tickling your toes as a walk over them buried below, to that Mary Anning old world charm, especially in Winter, to an uplifting glory in the sunshine. This place is just good for the soul. ❤

This is beautiful. I added Lyme Regis to my bucket list. In Swedish language there is a word for this feeling: "Smultronstället". Thank you for inspiring so many people to create and also to travel. There are a few places in UK that I would like to visit, but now I added one more, to the top.

We've stayed in Lyme many times, but our favourite place is Pyne House, with it's elevated position just back from the front giving panoramic views day and night. It is also reputed to be the house that Jane Austen rented while writing her book, Persuasion (some of which is set in Lyme). Can't resist The Cobb at dawn.

Great to hear

We love Lyne Regis. It also attracts great music acts. Just love the Jurassic coast in general. Spent a fantastuc day last week high up on the West cliffs of Portland photographing the Fulmas and Kestrels catching lizards and rats.
