pound for pound this is the BEST Special forces units in the world, i served in the US military for 9 years, and i was also stationed in Israel for 6 weeks and i must say i love the IDF, great soldiers great people and Israeli women are the most beautiful women i have seen now that i'm retired from the US army, i'm planning on taking my wife and kids for a visit they will never forget, as a former American Special forces , i salute Israel anad may God bless each and everyone of you, except the muslims which i can't stand STAND TALL be proud to be Israeli, if it was up to me i would move to live there and join the IDF peace from the USA

+Francis Begbie The age of recruitment and service is 18 - 21 years old. The Yamam members are veterns of the IDF / Border Police Special forces which are older then 21. But yea, when thinking about it, we are being recruited as kids

UK SAS actually trained Israeli SP back in the days. Now actually the SAS goes to Israel to learn from them. It is quite amazing how this transition happened

p.s If you asked about this SPECIFIC unit in this clip - the "YAMAM" - then it's not an army unit, but a special police unit. Then you would have to go through all that I said earlier. But there are many special units in the army. If you will be able to get into Israeli army in the first place, then it depends only on your skills (intelligence and physical abilities), and you can get into a special unit in the army as anyone else.

Actually, the six day war was an exclusive Israeli achievement. It was such a remarkable feat that war academies across the globe consistently analyze the Israeli army's ingenious tactics as part of their courses. You must be referring to Yom Kippur war in '73 which admittedly we needed the USA's intervention since we did not strike first albeit the threats of an upcoming war. So no, he should say "Thanks to our amazing army" in that regard.
