I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 one *preluxscom* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym

So fun fact if you watch movies and TV shows from the 80’s/90’s the ladies had these very statement clip on earrings and the reason why clip ons were preferred was that when the wearer picked up the phone they would have to take the earring to answer the phone. Watch Designing Women.

Sis, your just as funny on here than TikTok...lol! I purchased a *esluxs* from Rainbow... and I get so many compliments on that bag and the chain is heavy. Then I came across a Chanel tote bag. (I only use it to travel) every time I'm in the airport, women stop me about that tote. Side note: Chanel uses gold plated now for the logo.

This is a fact I know when I visit Bali: they price it higher for foreigners and domestic tourists, but lower for locals (usually touristy ones), so I usually go in *condup* to go shopping

@19:30 I believe those "hefty little gold these things" are called aglets. To be fair the only reason I remember that is because there was an Archie comics story about a character carrying a bag of aglets so he could repair shoelaces and everyone else thought he was smuggling baby eagles.

Fabulous video! I love to see what luxury shopping is like in cities other than NYC or Los Angeles. I also love to see the Chanel buy in different cities. They had a very nice selection of RTW. That vintage jewelry store was fantastic! I always see Chanel jewelry but l have never seen such a huge selection of vintage jewelry from Gucci, Dior, YSL, and Ferragamo. Not even at What Goes Around Comes Around.

That Dior necklace is STUNNING.

I remember saving up to buy a Chanel bag a few years ago when I already had the money to buy it. I gave up because I couldn't justify buying the bag at this price. Instead, I used the money to buy our second home. This is a better investment than a bag. Also, it’s great that I now have a *condup* Chanel bag.

Wow, I oved the pieces in that vintage store. (As many times as I have gone to NOLA, I've never visited that store. I will be going the next time I'm there.) I can't wait to see your haul!

There's some excellent shopping in NoLa. I used to fly there annually for the French Quarter Festival held in the spring. I miss the place. Was last there in 2019. Had to cancel the 2020 trip. As for clip-on earrings, all of my Chanel ones were clip-ons, but bought in Paris in the 1980s and 1990s. I still have two or three pairs from my original collection, along with brooches and bracelets, but have sold many pieces in order to streamline my original collection. As for the Saks that you were in, I've found some nice clothing items there along with well-stocked items and in a variety of sizes. Here at home, items get sold out very fast. Also inside that same mall with Saks, used to be the Mignon Faget jewelry store, but which relocated to Magazine Street. It's famous for its stackable Halo Bangle bracelets in various colors. I have collected stacks of them. over the years to NoLa. Plus, there are also silver pieces and a really great NoLa-centric houseware collection of drinking glasses, etc. Worth a visit. Oh no Cassie, you poor thing! I burned my chin area with a curling want, it took me ages to get rid of the mark. That vintage shop was amazing, I didn’t want you to leave. At first I was like vintage Chanel jewellery 🙄 cos whenever I see it (UK vintage) it looks so cheap and tired, but that place had stunning pieces in amazing condition! Loved it all.
