Unfortunately, we have a wet bar on the other side of the wall with plumbing. The fix is to move the Av equipment and move the speaker over into that place. The current stage was a major improvement over the previous set up in the room but we have already talked with the customer about rack options and construction which may be phase 2 when they are ready. Awesome theater. I have an NZ8 as well, but paired it with an SI Black Diamond (1.4) screen. Much better than my old SI matte white screen, but not sure if they're available, acoustically transparent.

Nice work, any insight on where the blankets come from? I did see them discussed at one point but can’t find it

Any reason why the rear speakers aren't quite centred, my ocd is struggling with them being off a little bit? If its the door I'd have brought the other closer to the centre to match. Also how big is the room?

obviously they are limited by that door. I guarantee you your ears would notice more issues with channel/speaker separation if the rears were closer together than the slight unevenness. To bring the one speaker closer would have worse acoustical consequences IMO.

The issue is a wet bar on the other side of the wall with plumbing in the wall. We have discussed Av rack options with the customer so maybe we will film a part 2 on this room if we can move the gear and reinstall the speaker further over. Right now the customer is thrilled with the set up as is and the Trinnov helps with the speaker being a little off. Thanks for watching!

@@DarthBrockstar the Trinnov does magical things with audio performance when speakers aren’t perfect for sure! Unfortunately we couldn’t move the plumbing in the wall but the customer is considering a rack so you may see a phase 2 to this project. Thanks for commenting!

Yes, I saw that review too with Erin's Corner. I have all Focal 1000s (and Sopra towers). They sound magnificent and I have had only complements and jaw dropping "wow"s. I would not be worried at all by a room decked out in Focal 1000s.

Really nice theater but for a 100K I would expect at least to have a hush box for the projector.

Why rear surrounds not symmetrical with the room or center front seat? Looks like there is plenty of wall space to make it so. Not the 7.2.6 since you have channels and amp to spare? Not the NZ9? SVS is best value you sale. Better performance value for the customer from internet direct companies. Good looking room otherwise and the equipment selection is superb.

Few questions: 1. The in wall surrounds seem to be placed between the two rows. Is that optimal placement for both seats? 2. The second row seems to be backed up to the wall. The recommendation usually is to leave at least a couple of feet between the wall and seats for optimal sound experience. For a 100k+ theater, this seems to be a very basic oversight. Would love to know the rationale and how was it compensated? 3. The entry seems to be a double door bang in the middle of the wall. For a $100k+ project, did you all not consider moving that door to one of the corners for better sound insulation and speaker placement? 4. Your website and videos are over pivoting on just the Focal brand. For the last year or so, don’t recall seeing any other brands. Is there an unconscious bias towards Focal? 5. What about the AV rack? 6. Finally, was this house in Starwood ? Seems very familiar

The room definitely has some existing limitations and we did the best we could with the existing structure without doing construction work to the space. I can understand you loving a certain brand but over pivoting only on that in every content you create or project you build seems to suggest you are incentivized only to sell focal. Not intending to sound mean, but one of the things I look for is an unbiased view when investing this amount of money.

In a perfect world the surround rear left would be over further and the AV equipment wouldn’t be there. The customer has already asked us about moving the av equipment in a phase 2 upgrade. We work with customers at all different stages of the build and advise along the way all available options. This one is going to require a bit of construction to get it done right so may be a better thing to do when they leave for a vacation or something like that. That set up was installed by the home builder. They are definitely enjoying the room currently! Have a great weekend!

Maybe it’s because of the video but that video of John Wick looked extremely washed out. It looked like it was missing a lot of color compared to watching it on the TV.
