Lyrics:
The time is right
You hold me tight
And love's got me high
Please tell me, 'Yes'
And don't say 'No'
Honey, not tonight
Move a little close to me
You owe it to yourself
And I will selfishly
Take a little for myself
And it's because of you
That love won't let me wait

I saw Luther at Wembley arena back in the 1990's......never forget this, front row seats and at the end of the concert Luther looked down at me, I put two thumbs up to him and he did the same back......one of my life's greatest memories

Am I the only one who misses the daylights out of this man? I pray for the day someone who received his spirit sings and we can hear a part of him again. This is music people...the way it aught to be. I know there will be only one Luther, but there has to be hope someone similar to him will come our way again.

Sista unfortunately I hate to be the one to tell you that greatness has left us and there is no other form to replace him. Thus, continue to listen to him and appreciate his sound. Find the man that you can enjoy these sounds with. Most importantly think, smile, and continue to learn to be happy. Lets await for another great to be created. It will take time but he will be able to sing to you in a different way than Luther.

Check out Morris Cerullo's Help Line rendition of Falling in Love with Jesus on You Tube. It is sung with Kirk Whalum on the saxaphone, but checkout the singer...HE reminds me of our Luther! It is a totally awesome rendition and I am still trying to find out who the singer is. I think he was touched by Luther and God!

The money will come if they bring what luther and others has brung to the table.

I once heard a young man on the Steve Harvey Morning Show who sounded very much like Luther, but I don't know what ever happened to him. I forgot his name, but I know Steve Harvey will remember him and possibly know where he is. I sure would like to know what ever happened to the young man, because I know that he did sound very much like the late Luther Vandross.

Carole Tallerino, I do know that this young man went on tour with Steve and Nephew Tommy at one point, but for the love of my Lord I can't remember his name. I would hope that Steve or Nephew would tell his name to the public so that we can enjoy his most melodious voice. For this man is truly a gift to the world. The only way I would know to get his name would be from Steve or Nephew Tommy and for me it is very hard for me to even get to them on their morning show. If you find out would you please let me know, thank you.

I just want to say that I own this DVD set from this concert, and on March 18, 2020, I watched the entire concert. What I love about it most is that how many modern artists can be on stage live alone and sing like this? If you've never seen this concert, that stage is massive, and several times he's on stage by himself or with backup singers. This was/is a fantastic concert and well worth a purchase even now!

The man's voice is timeless and no one else will ever sound like him and so many other singers like him in that era, peabo bryson, james ingram, freddie jackson, lionel richie, george benson. Dam there was some serious talent back then which I don't think will ever see again. Even the singers out there now which we say have a great voice don't give you the shivers up the spine like they do! Take me back to the 80's! Felt so more enjoyable, free and everyone enjoyed going out back then cos the music made it!

I could never understand the people who said they felt remorse at the passing of a singer until Luther Vandross passed away. His music means more to me than words can explain. Listening to his music allowed me to articulate my inner most feelings for the love I felt for my soul mate and best friend (wife). May he rest in peace with my heavenly father. You truly blessed me and are missed everyday.

When TP Teddy Pendergrass went down he passed the torch over to Luther and he never gave it up until his passing. One the Greatest vocalist of all time, if not the Best! RIP🙏🏿

I was there with my wife, it was pure class. The production, band, backing singers and of course, Luther were just amazing.. We saw him several times over the years and all were memorable nights. Bless you Luther, you are part of a soundtrack to many lives. Sadly missed

Luther Vandross reaches a part deep down in our souls that is tough to reach and he brings it out of us all. This the type of shit to turn on at dusk with the windows down and reminisce on life itself. King of Soul !! That sax is deadly woooo
