I’d just like to comment on the hair frustration you’re experiencing. As you know, silver/gray hair is so fragile. Drier, more coarse and thinning. It needs TLC. I can’t stand not washing my hair every day and I’m paying the price with brassy/yellowing, dry, porous and frizzy hair. Bleaching is more than likely causing your issues. Not that you don’t know this. I just know from experience. It’s frustrating. Silver hair requires a lot of maintenance. I had no idea. I want long hair but it gets to a point where I have to trim it up more often. Sorry, I could go on and on but I’ll shut up now. 😊

I agree. I color my own hair and what a mess. I’m Bleaching out the dark then toning then covering the roots. I went gray and cut it all off I hated it. My hair is past my bra but I don’t wash daily and I oil daily. My hair is curly and very dry. I only heat style once a week. Our crown and glory takes a lot of love.

I could go on all day too! Long blonde with light brown and gray roots. I color hi light and cut myself. What a job!

For those looking for a replacement for Ideal or Bronzelle, try the Deep Taupe liner from Anastasia. I find that it’s very close in color and very long lasting.

I don't have Lancome Ideal, so I can't compare them side by side. But in your swatch, it looks very similar to my Pupa True Lips in shade 17. Check it out if you can. And it also lasts for a long time as well.

My go to lip liner has been Flower Beauty Toffee. I like to wear it when I wear a pink lipstick to get my favorite combination. I know you don’t like the twist up liners but it makes it easier for me in my purse because I don’t need a sharpener.

Are you still wearing your invisalign? I used to use lancome liners all the time.

Loreal Totally Toffee is perfect with everything. I didn’t get it how it could work so well with everything.and then it hit me! 🤯it’s the perfect CONTOUR color. The best wetline UD is Mushroom sort if silvery taupe. And finally Elf old school lip gloss wild rose. I walked in and one of the counselors at school with dark hair and eyes was a little made up but not much. It is hot here. And she sparkled and her lips were so pretty. I bought it and went to lunch with my Brooke age daughter and it was out of my purse and in her bag before we left. Round 2 the daughter in law to be had it on and in her bag with the doggie waste bags. It is great

PS it would be interesting to hear the inside scoop on how the decision is made to discontinue a much-loved makeup product. We think, “but we all love it”…but from the company’s standpoint, what do they know that we don’t? Sales actually not good? Formulas change and a color can’t be replicated? Sourcing issues? Ingredient cost increases? Can anybody from inside the makeup industry share with us?

Clinique plush plump gloss in Chiffon pop is a long-lasting , beige with great opacity. You should try it!

Same here. Ideal and Bronzelle were always my go to lip pencils.

WHY do brands discontinue products that obviously are selling and favorites amongst a lot of people? I struggle with this all the time. When I find something I love I stick to it. As for example perfumes, I am really sensitive I must love every level of it, cannot wear it otherwise. Every time I find THE one, it discontinues...Same goes with lipstick and on it goes. I just don't get it. If it would be products not selling, I would totally understand it, but that's rarely the case. Such a bummer.

The Chardonnay lip oil is not good. Smelled like butter popcorn, not very moisturizing, and not glossy enough. I was so sad about it and had to return it.

My guess is since they re-formulated they couldn’t come up with a formula for Ideal. I used Ideal from the first time we had an Lancôme counter at Belk. I hate they are no longer at Belk. I also hate Ideal and Bronzelle are gone. I also loved Portelle. 😢

Lancome is infamous more than any other brand for discontinuing a best selling product. Their absolue cream foundation and powder were absolute favorites of mine and just no longer available one day. Multiple others over the years. I dont get it...
