I'm not from the UK but Ireland and all of the UK have nearly the exact same fish. I'd love to go to and travel the whole North American continent just to fish

So it is mandatory to take with you any zander that you catch in the uk? Here in the Netherlands you're not allowed to keep them unless its larger than 42cm.

No, they are considered an invasive species so they don't want you to return them. But they have a big following in the UK now so we return them to fight another day.

here in the UK these are an invasive species they compete with our native pike , pike kill for food but it is commonly seen that xander kill and leave the fish

@Andy Baz Walleye what looks like your sander and Sauger what looks like a small walleye with big dark blobs on it but don't get as big as a walleye. And Bluegill and Crappie , they are really good to eat but are smaller! And large and small mouth bass, Northern Pike, and Muskies which are more of a trophy for fish. The say Muskies And a few other species.
