Class video mate, been getting lots of rainbow trout at derwent as of recent so gonna head along to here in a few weeks and try for one of the monster ones I've seen being pulled out. I'm just over the other side of the river so might even see you out on my travels! class stuff

Hi Gary. Thinking of planning a fishing trip next year. My base would be Manchester. I live in Canada but originally from N. Ireland. I spin, float and fly fish. If I get this planned would like to make to Newcastle.

Have you tried topwater/plugs for Pollock? Thinking about trying it on Whitley pipe

No, I haven't tried that. I usually use metals for pollock fishing.

No, you need to buy a rod licence and a day permit before you can fish here.

You can buy a permit online from the www.watersideparksuk.com/park/grassholme/ or you can buy it on the day at the on site fishing lodge. You need to buy a rod licence from www.gov.uk/fishing-licences
