Hi, great video. Beautifully shot. Can you please tell me the most common Bass caught in Ireland is? I know the Largemouth/Smallmouth variety in the States and I believe that Atlantic Bass is different. Are they possibly Striper?

We only get the one species of bass, and we call it bass. No, it's not a striped bass if that helps.

You are in Waterford? Bass fishing heaven around you! I hear it's been a bit tough recently with weed etc. but when it fires around you it's about the best bass fishing I know of. Kerry a long drive? I am driving to Kerry from here in Cornwall on Monday - about nine hours of driving and the 3.5 hour ferry journey, but so worth it, Kerry is awesome

Yeah I've heard about the weed problem too, it's particularly bad in the channel between the saleens and tramore unfortunately, used to be a good spot for bass, mullet, gar etc. From Cornwall? That is a long drive haha The fishing must be good in Kerry, you should drop by the Beara peninsula in Cork too, i hear that's a cracking spot.

I like the catching of the fish part but the way you're handling the fish is a bit rough...a net would be 10times better than hoisting it in...okay if you're eating them it doesn't matter but catch and release you could be more gentle with a net... Just my opinion though
