    Japadhola couod be the closest of all our Luo brothers in Uganda,i enjoy their dialect and understand more thsn 80% of their language as Kenyan Luo

    You will realise their food is better, the stuff we eat in Kenya is dog food. Ugali and tilapia/omena is basic. What happened to groundnut, simsim, cassava and sweet potato? They even have different cuts of meat in Gulu.

    Yawa the way the kuon is mdae make me feel that the Luos from Kenya should get to Padhola for refresher course to learn cooking. We eat raw food in Kenya that is why we not strong. We left the right culture in Uganda. Meantime I must sneak back there. Please welcome me when I come.

    @@princessnyangi3098 VP Oginga Odinga of Kenya was close friends with Uganda President Milton Obote and both attended Uganda's Makerere University . Through Luo Union and Luo Thrift they started efforts to Unite the Luo of Kenya, Uganda, Tanganyika, Zanzibar, Congo, Chad, CAR, Lower Egypt/Sudan, Ethiopia Gambella/Eritrea . VP Oginga Odinga travelled with his family extensively throughout Uganda , Kampala, Entebbe, Jinja, Pakwach, Tororo, Gulu, Lira, Agoro, Labongo etc .

    @@princessnyangi3098 VP Oginga Odinga supported Uganda Exiles campaign against Idi Amin in 1979 and hosted Luo-Acholi and Luo-Langi soldiers including Gen Tito Okello,Gen Oyite Ojok,Gen Bazillio Olara Okello in his Bondo home . Kisumu Kenya was the capital of Eastern Uganda under British East Africa Protectorate . Kisumu Kenya together with Mwanza Tanganyika were used as launching ports for the soldiers against Amin . On one occassion a boat headed to Entebbe in Lake Victoria capsized and at least 300 Luo-Acholi soldiers died . The lowest point for Gen Bazillio Olara Okello who had trained these group of soldiers against Idi Amin .

    Yeah, because padhola is very close to luo of Kenya. They are the group that dropped last during the migration of the luo to Kenya. And they are also geographically the closest to luo of Kenya and Tanzania.

    The Luo of Kenya are an amalgamation of the Luo-Acholi,Luo-Alur,Luo-Padhola,Luo-Jonam,Luo-Langi of Uganda and other groups in Kenya such as the Suba,Luhya and to some extent Kuria and Kisii . The first group of Luo to arrive in Kenya the Jok were the Pajok from Luo-Acholi in Uganda,they were followed after 200 years by the Padhola from the Luo-Padhola of Uganda headed by Owiny a skilled warrior and father of Adhola in Kenya they settled in Bunyala after teaming up with the Jok.Later the Luo-Alur followed after 100 years as the Jok Omollo headed to Tanganyika South Nyanza Kenya .

    @@kennethotieno995 The Owiny group under Luo-Padhola provided the first King to the Wanga Kingdom in Mumias in a place called God Wanga.The Luhya of Wanga share kinship with the Luo through this amalgamation .Also the same applies to the Luhya of Bunyala the Abamanyala.The brother of Owila ,who had participated in the formation of Wanga, was called Nyadundo( a famous Kenyan musician Ohangla uses the same name Tony Nyadundo).Nyadundo was the ancestor of the Luhya Tiriki the Abatiriki.

    @@kennethotieno995 When Wanga and Owila moved to Mumias they provided the 1st King of the Wanga Nabongo. Owila and son of Wanga Matara would later go to Alego Uyoma forming the Jobayoma of the Luo and they would later settle in Sakwa Bondo.The Jok Omollo would also move to South Nyanza providing ancestry to Gor Mahia through Ogallo.Gor Mahia son of Ogada and grandson of Ogallo was a powerful 18th century Luo leader and medicine man with unusual powers who predicted white rule.
