LUO OF UGANDA: JoPADHOLA EAT THESE FOODS
A video documentary of jopadhola foods. NB: Not all foods are shown in the video because it wasn’t easy to get everything in one place but a fair number was mentioned.

You will realise their food is better, the stuff we eat in Kenya is dog food. Ugali and tilapia/omena is basic. What happened to groundnut, simsim, cassava and sweet potato? They even have different cuts of meat in Gulu.
The sauce looks 😋 😋 😋
An nyar alego awinjo 98% of everything she said. They also use "wonyo" and hama"....Great job kogot Peter!

The Luo of Kenya are an amalgamation of the Luo-Acholi,Luo-Alur,Luo-Padhola,Luo-Jonam,Luo-Langi of Uganda and other groups in Kenya such as the Suba,Luhya and to some extent Kuria and Kisii . The first group of Luo to arrive in Kenya the Jok were the Pajok from Luo-Acholi in Uganda, they were followed after 200 years by the Padhola from the Luo-Padhola of Uganda headed by Owiny a skilled warrior and father of Adhola in Kenya they settled in Bunyala after teaming up with the Jok.Later the Luo-Alur followed after 100 years as the Jok Omollo headed to Tanganyika South Nyanza Kenya .

Owila and son of Wanga Matara would later go to Alego Uyoma forming the Jobayoma of the Luo and they would later settle in Sakwa Bondo. The Jok Omollo would also move to South Nyanza providing ancestry to Gor Mahia through Ogallo.Gor Mahia son of Ogada and grandson of Ogallo was a powerful 18th century Luo leader and medicine man with unusual powers who predicted white rule.
