Lung Cancer का पता लगाने के लिए विभिन्न प्रकार के Tests हैं।
ये Tests दो श्रेणियों में विभाजित हैं, Screening Tests और Diagnostic Tests।
0:48 Lung Cancer में Screening Tests क्या होते हैं?
Screening Tests का उपयोग उन Patients में Cancer की संभावना का निर्धारण करने के लिए किया जाता है जहाँ Cancer अभी तक नहीं हुआ है।
Chest X Ray और Low Dose CT Scan सबसे आम Screening Tests हैं।
ये Tests विशेष रूप से Chest X Ray के रूप में एक Baseline Test के तौर पर उपयोगी होते हैं।
Low-dose CT Scan विशेष रूप से उन व्यक्तियों के लिए किया जाता है जो अधिक Smoking करते हैं।

Diagnostic Tests तब किए जाते हैं जब Patient में Symptoms होते हैं।
यहाँ भी Chest X-ray पहला Test है।
अगर Chest X-ray Conclusive नहीं है, तो Doctors High-resolution CT Thorax की सलाह देते हैं।
PET Scan सबसे आम Test है और हम इसे General Population को नहीं सुझाते हैं।
Lung Cancer में, PET Scan का उपयोग Cancer के शरीर के अन्य हिस्सों में फैलाव को निर्धारित करने के लिए किया जाता है।
लेकिन PET Scan की Interpretation मुश्किल होती है क्योंकि बहुत से Patients पहले से ही Tuberculosis से प्रभावित होते हैं।
EBUS (Endoscopic Endobronchial Ultrasound) FNA एक और Test है जो Core Biopsy एकत्र करता है।
एक अंतिम Test जो बाकी रहता है वह है MRI Brain जो Brain में Metastasis की पहचान करता है।
Bone Scan कुछ मामलों में एक Optional Test है।
अगर EBUS FNA संभव नहीं है, तो Ultra-guided या CT-guided Biopsy की जाती है।
NGS या Next Generation Sequencing एक Advance Testing है, विशेष रूप से सही Chemotherapy Treatment की पहचान के लिए।
