You don’t like extra big and poofy dresses Chad- big and poofy is what got me into doll collecting 😆💗 about 6 years ago (wow six years already? Time flies) I wanted to get big poofy dressed Barbie dolls for my child and there wasn’t any in stores so I started looking for vintage Barbies in my local buy and sell, started doing some research, found some Barbies and BOOM 💥 I was hooked for life. What a beautiful magical doll world we have the privilege to be a part of💝

There are specific dolls with large princess type dresses that I do like from Barbie from the '90s, but there's a lot of them that are just not my style and it's really hard for me to explain which ones I like and which ones I don't, it just varies from doll to doll

Giant dresses are my absolute favorite and part of the reason I collect you. Anytime I hear the word ballgown. I instantly won the doll more than I did before and I’m always super sad when the dress isn’t as big as I want it to be. It’s OK that you don’t like them because it’s not an aesthetic, but everyone likes but more importantly there’s more for us and we can collect all the giant ball gowns :-) Sorry for any typos. I’m speaking into my phone and it doesn’t always get what I say correct. As a sidenote, if we’re going to have a giant dress, can we please have an underskirt? I know that they’re a budget for things, but we need something to help. Keep it shape and I will die on this hill, a petticoat or underskirt day of the week for my ballgowns, and I will be a loyal customer forever

@@ChadMarvelous I feel the same, and I lived through the 80s and 90s. I thought some of the Barbies were tacky even then. Some of the dresses you pointed out as liking are ones I like too, and also those two Holiday Barbies are my favourites as well.

I loved learning more about your taste in Barbies and hearing you collect Tomb Raider. Lots to look at in an antique store, and there’s something a little more nostalgic and like a sense of respect for the items than in a corporate setting. I just found about the Polly Pocket Magic Kingdom yesterday when trying to get tiny dolls on Mercari (for my Polly Pocket Stacie and my Polly Pocket plush doll with pockets).

Thank you so much! 💕💕 And not to worry. I've had some issues with KZread's comments under some videos in the past, so I know how it is. I'm glad you enjoy these videos! They're really fun to make, and very easy to make as well. I wish that I had more stores or shops nearby where I work that I could have more variety, but I think now I might have already gone to each of the stores near my work and I'm afraid for these to become repetitive... Though I'm not sure. LOL. I don't know if I will have them every week because it depends on what's going on, but I definitely plan to keep doing these.

I love that skipper! I've been looking everywhere for one and I haven't bumped into any vintage barbies anywhere :( they are hard to find. I got lucky one time and found a bubble cut though lol

I do have a good size antique shop near me, but they don't have much toys or stuff I collect. It's been a year, though, I should see if they got something new. I have been going to Savers. The prices are hit and miss, but I just found a Raquelle and an articulated Fashionista for a good price they cleaned up nicely. I like taking toys in bad condition and giving them new life.

The tall Barbie is from 1977. She's the original Supersize Barbie. I have her in box. 🙂 I hope you have a wonderful weekend Gorgeous! 😘

Those Disneyland Minis that said 'polly pocket' are from a big 2000 Magic Kingdom set that was buy Mattel, so technically more of a Polly Pocket clone I think. Stumbled on your channel looking for cool doll hunt places to check out in the north state, I like seeing what's around without driving the 1.5 down to Roseville/Sac If you're looking for more obscure toy shops to check out in the nearby-ish area, Marysville has an unsuspecting but jam packed collectable shop. Mostly figure but a good selection of dolls.

I lucked into a set of 5 in box wizard of Oz Barbies for $20 a couple of months ago. I hope you stumble on a deal like that soon!

I have the Evening Enchantment Barbie and I love her. If you've ever read A Series of Unfortunate Events, Esme Squalor (the fashionista villain) has a dress that looks like flames and that's what that Barbie makes me think of, so I named her Esme. 🤣❤️🔥✨
