because i'm chinese, i always found similarities in korean food/culture that i watch. It's so strange to watch this seeing that the koreans are awed even by normal chinese cuisine. i'm shook that the koreans never encountered the water spinach before, it's so good :)

I think they dont plant it there or maybe its cant live in cold place? Because water spinach is famous vegetables in South East Asian countries as well. We like it as stir fried with garlic and small shrimp or cuttlefish. Same goes with bamboo shoot. I really love it, I cook it as curry.

I don't think it's water spinach (kong xin cai). it's called xian CAI or tricolor Amaranthus. xian cai is really easy to prepare just wash it and that's it.

Shirley Li i don't think I've seen the tricolor amaranthus that often but after googling it both plants do look really alike once cooked... the one you're talking about can apparently be found in Korea though, while water spinach can't? It's hard to tell by watching this video. :\ (I'm Vietnamese btw, so we call them differently. Thanks for the little chinese info!)

Awww his grandparents remind me of my own grandparents. Sadly both of grandpas aren't alive anymore + 1 of my grandma is stuck in the nursing home so I'm the closest to my maternal grandmother. Both my grandparents from my mother and father side were already in heaven before i was even born. So seeing this chenle being close with his grandparents makes me soft and jealous at the same time. I really wish i could've atleast meet them, but i didn't get a chance. 😢 i only see my grandma(papa's mom) but she died when i was 8 years old.
