This piece is so celestial and serene. When I heard the first time at my step daughters choir concert... I couldn't help but cry it touched me so deep in my heart. My mother passed away in 2011 and my heart has been broken since... This song ... It was like she sent it to me, to my heart for comfort. Thank you for this beautiful gift. I love this So much.

I’m singing this at my final spring concert in a few months. I’m not ready to say goodbye
This song is so beautiful. Ever since I first sang it, I've been looking for someone I call my "star person." (Yes, it's super weird and cringy lol.) My favorite line in the song is "You are not of the ground on which you tread, but of the stars." And I know this song is about a parent's love for their child, but I think anyone you love that much could be your star person. That person is so special to you that you believe they are from the stars in the heavens. I searched for a year to find that person. And I finally found them. I hope you all find your star person someday.

for me, this song is about nature taking care of us humans and seeing us and all of the plants and animals as its children. We are the angels, the gods, and the peasants. We are supposed to take care of the earth and we havent been, we've been drilling for oil and eating the animals when we arent supposed to. Even though, nature still stays by our side until the night swells again across the sky. (:

I sang this in my sophomore year in choir. I searched for that person since then. And found him In my senior year. Everyone has a star person and they do come around when you least expect. So to any one who needs to hear it. It is worth it. And love is coming
I did this while cadet teaching for my AMAZING CHOIR TEACHER! Honestly we did this song like everyday and I didn’t like it but after I started singing it after I graduated it brings me to tears because it brings sooo many memories from that class!!! i will always love and miss them! I wish the best for them all!
This song pierces my heart every time. This was my baby sister's balcony song for All State Choir. She performed it less than two months after our mom had passed away. For those few brief minutes, it felt like mom was with us again.

This song was of many my choir now can't preform this year. I'm heartbroken for everyone that was effected by this. My best friends don't get their last concert, I can't expierence that with them and sing just one more song with them. It hurts to listen to these songs knowing that. I hope everyone stays safe
This song definitely made me cry in choir yesterday. So pretty.

I love this song it is so beautiful and I am singing it in choir. It made me tear up when I heard it. I love all the crescendos in this song. Especially the part “ of the stars “ it is amazing what this song has done to my voice. It turned it from a dull tone to a perfect melody. And I love how the high parts are easy for me to hit. Love this song. Thank you

this was one of the first songs we sang when we got back to school after covid. This song will always be super sentimental and comforting for me
In 8th grade I finally gained the courage to audition for the OkCDA All-Sate choir, and with so many after school hours learning this song and many others, I made it. Lunar Lullaby has left such a mark on me that I tear up whenever I come back here and listen to it. I will never forget the role this song had on starting my love for All-State and helping me break free from my comfort zone.
I sang this in eighth grade and I immediately fell in love with it
I’m so thankful to you for doing this piece. I am singing this at my choir concert. I was so nervous because I couldn’t find an accurate song to practice with and I found this and I was like THANK THE LORD! THIS IS JUST WHAT I NEEDED! it helped so much and made me feel more secure about myself in my singing so thank you so much.

I sing this song like everyday in choir learning it for our concert and I swear it’s going to be soo embarrassing cus I’ll cry every time I listen to it so I’ll probably just be crying in the middle of the concert😢😢😢😢 but this peach hits me so hard in the heart every time. The baritone part in the chorus literally makes me cry, this song is so gorgeous, thank you ❤️
I sang this piece back and 6th grade and i still admire the beauty of this song. :3
My favorite student teacher taught my choir this song and I think about it all the time.
this song it sooooooo beautiful my daughters sing in the choir concert it was so beautiful she said that it even make her cry cause this song is really you really did a good job Jacob Narverud.
I was in band and choir for 12yrs and somehow never heard this at any competition. It's beautiful.
Im singing this in choir tonight, for a concert!
You went to school with my choir teacher! You’ve created such beautiful and amazing music!
I sang this at my elementary school. Such a beautiful song
I don't know why but I am so drawn to this song, specifically this version of it. The way that the tempo is slowed a bit from the other versions makes it that much more beautiful. It may sound a bit odd, but this is what I would like to have performed at my services when I pass. It would be in my eyes the perfect send home back to the universe. All I can really say is thank you!
Good sir, you are an inspiration! I love your works and would kill to sing this in choir. Thank you for creating such beautiful pieces
my choir is singing this for our spring concert this year, and i love it so much!!!
The first time I realized that I was in love with choir was when I auditioned for ECOCDA. It was so much fun at the concert and having people who actually cared a ton about choir sing with you? It was magical. We sung this song and I wanted to cry when we were at the clinic because I had never been apart of a choir that put in as much effort as I put in. It was truly an amazing experience and I wish to be apart of it again. Music just does something to me. It’s an exulting experience. One that you can’t explain.
I am singing this in choir and it reminds me of stories my mum would tell me. I think this peice is so beautiful and amazing!

This was one of the first choir songs I sang and I still love it
I'm singing this song with my best friend at memorial concert for a senior at my high school who committed suidcide and this song gives me the chills every time I listen to it and whenever me and my best friend rehearse it.
We sang this song in our 6th grade choir a longggg time ago. I still remember it to this day
I used to be an alto and I have changed to a second soprano sadly, can anyone give me tips on how to hit the high notes without voice cracks? (specifically the stars part)
@rosepetalfalls6918

ItsJustAnna xx make sure you warm up your voice a lot. Even just slowly, to help get into that head voice more. Something that also helps me find high notes less intimidating is when you are about to make your voice go higher, imagine it’s going lower. I know, weird, but it works. It will give your sound more strength believe it or not. Basically, think down when you go up. And if all else fails, you don’t want to damage your voice by pushing it beyond its limits, in that case fake it till you make it and tell your director that reaching notes like that is hurting you and damaging your vocal cords.

Dancing with Roses thank you so much! it will be difficult to warm my voice up though sadly, choir class is my 1st period. but, probably when i wake up i can try to warm up my voice! thank you!
@ClaryssaBaker

ItsJustAnna xx i know this sounds weird, but when you go for higher notes think of using more chest resonance and breath pressure in your chest. and my choir teacher has us think of it like an elevator: as the elevator (the note) goes up, the weight (your voice or mindset of your voice) goes down.

I know this was a month ago but who knows you might have to sing something soprano later on! I’m a veteran soprano 1 in multiple audition choirs 😂 My best suggestion is to anchor anchor anchor! Use your core! If you need help singing in that space, try to squat for the higher parts. I like to think nailing my toes to the floor, no reaching or forcing in the throat. Also my practice (not for too long) laying on the floor. Some on your back first, then on your stomach. Feel how your stomach moves when you breathe. I find my sound is a lot better when I do that, it’s a lot free-er sounding! People make fun of me but I do this regardless because that’s how I get my best sound! I have many more tips so if you’re interested, don’t hesitate to reply to this comment!
I am so glad that our choir director chose this piece! Great job Jacob Narverud!!!

This song and just a single voice is held in a special place in my heart. The kind of songs that save lives. All it takes is a single voice from one celestial child.
