Lunny had a good point to be upset at Castor. And as I thought, Castor was speaking with the rest of the astro bodies, pleading for that display of power Lunar did was self defense therefore justified in his actions to do so. Lunar has total right to gone off on Castor like that since he's told very little in the first place. It's good he was able to get it off his chest so he wasn't carrying around baggage that he thought he was abandoned.

proof that castor cares. His first impression to anybody is that he doesn’t care about anybody or anything unless it’s a threat to his existence. Him sticking up for Lunar is pure proof that he can and does care.

Oh boy, I'm glad that Castor (& Pollux) were able to diffuse the situation to an extent. More bonding with Earth & Pollux is always a treat too! Castor needs some lessons about being a good friend. (specifically the part about how friends are there for you when you need them the most.) also Lunar should tell Castor that he owes him since he didn't show up when he called for him. (the favor is knowing who's helping BloodMoon. Or some suggestions on how they can get rid of BloodMoon without using star power. Or BloodMoon's location.) Castor that wasn't exactly "self-defense" that was more "fighting to protect the ones you love and care about", but I can see how it is self defense.

I enjoy a good logical debate and your comment got the brain going, so I hope you don't mind if I impose on you by providing a series of counter arguments. No offense is intended by this nor am I desiring to 'make you feel stupid'. I merely offer an opposing viewpoint for you to consider. If you have counter counter-arguments and are interested in sharing them then I look forward to reading them! I recognize KZread comments is a weird place to seek a good debate, but I don't get out much and this is the best I can do. I also don't have the best impulse control and, as this still feels like a good idea to post this response, I am committing to that impulse! At the very least you will gain insight into how another human being thinks and perceives. God, I hope I'm not making a mistake with this interaction... Sometimes bad hings happen to a friend when it is not physically possible for you to be there. You could be hospitalized, on a trip on the other side of the planet, in the middle of a meeting, or otherwise unable to be present in the moment. That doesn't mean you are a bad friend. It means life happened and made things complicated. In Castor's case, being called to a meeting to defend Lunar's actions to the other Astral Bodies was a responsibility he would not have been able to avoid without potentially getting Lunar *killed*. As a friend in that position, the best thing he *could* have done the 'be there' was what he ended up doing. 'Being there' for a friend doesn't always mean you are physically present in the moment when you are needed the most. It means you offer what support and aid you can to the best of your ability at the given place and time. Sometimes that means sending a brief text with a sad emoji to indicate feeling bad on that friend's behalf. Sometimes that means getting in contact with that friend the second you learn something bad happened to them. Sometimes that means defending that friend while you trust the rest of aforesaid friend's friend group and family pick up your slack until you can be physically present. Friendship is complicated because relationships can be complicated because life itself is complicated and often inconvenient in its timing of things happening. This is my argument in defense of Castor. The caveat to this argument is that Castor and Lunar are basically even and nobody owes anyone anything. Aside from possibly fitting as much training in as their respective lives allow since that is the arrangement that benefits them both. And, remember, Castor is taking a huge risk in training Lunar as it is. He's technically not allowed, by the rules that govern the Astral Bodies, to do that and is doing it anyways. If he gets caught *both* of them will be facing major consequences (in Lunar's case: probably death). So Lunar is also taking a risk by accepting Castor's training. Thus they remain even. I don't know how my detail-fixated brain keeps track of all of this stuff, but...this all has been mentioned in previous videos. Maybe not emphasized but the information is there. This is my argument refuting your second point. I, personally, have no argument against your third point although an argument does technically exist. One could argue that Defending a Loved One is an extension or sub-category of self defense since by protecting that person you are protecting yourself from the pain of loss, but that drifts into philosophy - specifically what one defines as selfhood, how far out from a specific individual can the concept of self be extended before it starts to obscure the sense of self of others, and how far out from a specific individual can one justify defense of self. I don't feel like going in depth there beyond pointing out that the counter-argument exists as I only took an intro to philosophy course in college, and that was a few years back now. I don't feel qualified to dive into that particular field any further than I already have. I suspect I may have gone too far into it as it is, but also want to be clear in my explanation. Clarity is important in a good debate.
