Lunar Far Side in 4K: Chang'e 6 Reveals Negative Ions Near Moon's Surface
Ғылым және технология
China's Chang'e missions have unveiled the detection of negative ions near the Moon's surface by Chang'e 6. This discovery indicates a complex connection between the solar wind and lunar regolith, potentially explaining water ice formation in permanently shadowed regions. Chang'e 6 lander and rover's panoramic images of the barren far side, devoid of large maria, raise questions about the Moon's asymmetry and internal structure.
Distinct differences between the Moon's near and far sides, observed by the NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and Chang'e probes, suggest divergent geological formation. The far side's thicker crust and greater crater density contrast with the near side's vast maria, which determined the different responses to impacts and variations in internal structure. Chang'e 6's successful drilling and lunar sample collection efforts provide data to study the lunar regolith's composition and age.
The Chang'e 4 lander's measurement of radon outgassing reveals the Moon's internal activity and volatile content. The presence of negative ions and radon suggests ongoing processes influenced by external factors and internal dynamics, challenging the notion of a static lunar surface. Further analysis of Chang'e mission data, along with future exploration, promises to deepen our vision of the Moon's complex nature.

Well done Good job China 🇨🇳❤
Danke für die schönen Bilder und Videos und viel Erfolg auch weiterhin bei der Suche nach seltenen Mineralien und Helium 3🇨🇳👍
great job China🎉
Thank you China 🇨🇳
Well done China great achievement
Bonjour , c'est fantastique triste et mystérieux , tout à la fois simultanément 😊
Super
no matter near side or far side, all the ground of the moon in these pictures from Chang'e looked the same. And they are all different from Apollo's cement powder ground.

just wow
I am very happy to see the surface of the moon. Our lives and our future, how far we can go in deep space.
Did anyone see Indian Rover?

Well done China! I hope you will be the first to set up a human base on the moon 👽😌
We’re are they building there embassy
❤😂❤China has come a long way from throwing newborn baby girls into the Yangtze River!!! Chairman Mao's last photo showed him as a bobblehead in the Yangtze river.LOL. poetic justice ,I guess? How about the 3gorges dam. Isn't that an amazing feat also? Adios my friends!!!❤❤❤❤

00:50There are countless stars in the sky behind the Chinese lunar rover. When American astronauts landed on the moon in 1960, there were no stars in the sky behind them.😅😅😅

Those aren't stars. That's just noise in the image, something common with digital cameras and depends on the sensor or camera settings. Use your camera in a dimly lit room and you will see the same speckling, especially if you bump up the ISO. Besides which, that old cliche, "where are the stars" nonsense has been explained so many times, but it just won't get through to the conspiracists.

This is on the far side of the moon, where the surface does not receive direct sunlight. Stars were not seen in the Apollo landings because the reflection of direct sunlight, or 'albedo', on the near side prevented the cameras from seeing them. The cameras of the day had to use very low aperature settings to get the correct exposure of the lunar surface and of the astronauts doing their work. Settings that low cannot capture both the bright, reflective surface and the relatively dim starfield. Think of being in a large city at night. From the ambient city lights, one can not see the stars from the ground.
