@Chloe Saleem Yes. My mother didn't recommend New York to me and told me that Los Angeles is better, but I think I have no interest in moving there. I'm from Berkeley in my year round program originally from San Francisco in the Bay Area and I think that New York is a better fit for me.

All of the Coney Island is definitely on my park bucket list for sure 💯%👏🏻😎👍🏼😀😁😄😃😆🎢🎢🎢😝😛🤪😜

The cyclone is separate tickets but if you buy the wristband it’s included. Yes it is a great ride

I want to go, I have never been to Coney Island but I have seen the park on movies and I love the old fashioned feel, the classic amusement park from before. Love it, thank you for making this video! it is for sure in my bucket list.

There not bad rides it’s the older flying coasters that haven’t aged well. They are more ruff but I do like the flying coaster at this park because it has a better restraint

Marializ Hernandez I bought the tickets online so they were $47 to ride the thrill rides it’s $32 online if you just want kiddy rides but if you buy them at the park the extreme rides are $70 and the kiddy rides are $49

Yes the wristband includes the thunderbolt and the cyclone but note there are two wristbands the 42$$ one does not include any of the thrill rides that’s the kiddie pass the 69$$ one includes all thrill rides.

I live in coney island i loved it. But i haven't been here in years since 1994 on easter Sunday it was to gangs shooting at eachother a lot of people and kids got shot about a hundred cops came from all over people and kids screeming .seen people fall to ground .and more .i used to love music by polor express hamlaler my favorite ride .

Yeah the 90s was a bad time for Coney Island it’s much safer then it was back then a lot of family’s come here and it’s really expensive it’s a better atmosphere now

They should include all 3 parks as 1 park itself. Then build another park with 3 parks in 1 and maybe a water park. Just my opinion. NYC needs a waterpark now.

I don't like the Thunderbolt that should have been some bills and for the people that's living outside on Street

The majority of the rides @ Luna are just okay. The Cyclone is the most fun altho the first drop was 'softened' during re-tracking in our opinion but now that the entire track has been replaced and broken-in the ride, overall, is faster than before but the drop isn't quite what it used to be. The back seat is crazy so hold on! The newer thunderbolt steel coaster that replaced the original wooden thunderbolt is okay but like most of the rides its too short. It's also criminal they tore down the old thunderbolt (former Mayor blow hard Giuliani :-(( and they didn't 'bring that back to life'. The soaring Eagle, and Steeplechase coasters are fairly common but overall nothing to write home about. If you blink on the Steeplechase you'll never know you were on it. The new carousel is so slow you'll fall asleep and although the horses are stunning the house that the carousel is housed in lacks that old world charm. They used concrete for the floor which was a dumb move in our opinion b/c it gives the carousel an industrial feel instead of a classic feel. Too bad on that one. Luna Park needs another really good, exciting wooden coaster and a really good horror house. There isn't one in Luna Park. Deno's is the park next door (U have to buy separate tickets) and they had a few classic horror houses. Only 1 was still in operation when we were there. Deno's park claim to fame is the Wonder Wheel but it moves so slow b/c they keep stopping to let people on/off so you never really get the full impact of being on a ferris wheel the way you do at Playland in Rye, NY so you go 'round a few times then you're let off. Really? Also you'd think Deno's and Luna Park would string more lights or something around the rides - wonder wheel - cyclone etc. LED's cost nothing these days and it would brighten the place up at night. When we bring the kids to an amusement park we want bright lights and colors. Old pictures of the original parks that once stood where the new Luna Park is now looks like it was truly a beautiful magical place. Today's Luna park has all only a little of that. Although it has improved somewhat yet work still needs to be done. Surf Ave is kind of ugly. They could also close the streets that separate the parks and put more rides? Trees? Those streets serve no purpose except for some parking. They also should re-work/re-open the parachute ride. THAT would be cool. There's another guy (Sitt is his name) he owns several lots along Surf ave. that remain empty so that's rather sad looking. Our impression is he's a slum "hold-out" landlord waiting for the park to become more popular so someone will buy him out. Really not cool. Or maybe he and his cronies will put something ugly and stupid in those lots. Nothing would surprise us knowing his reputation. Until then those unsightly 'dead zones' will likely remain dark. Overall, there's a few thrill rides at Luna for teens and can be enjoyable overall (fireworks are free on Fridays in July and Aug! which is really wonderful - food options have gotten much better) but overall we'd describe Luna Park the Tickler - which is one of the parks medium sized spinning roller coasters and like the Tickler the park could use several more levels and truly exciting unique rides to make it more of a place to go to and spend $70 pp for all day pass to ride only 28 rides most of which are for the kiddies that does not include admission to any rides in Deno's (the park next to Luna Park) nor the Cyclone. Marty Markowitz the former Bklyn Borough President was a concert affection ado and offered free ($5 if U wished to sit) weekly concerts throughout the summer. THANK YOU MARTY FOR THE MANY YEARS OF BRINGING GREAT MUSIC and MEMORIES TO CONEY ISLAND. Since he retired they now have a 5,000 seat tent where you pay full price. The Child’s Restaurant @ 21st St and the Boardwalk is worth a visit. Check out their roof deck. The concert tent is next door. Enjoy.

Unfortunately, the Luna Park and all rides have been shut down, thanks to the Corona Virus Pandemic. Hopefully in 2021, we'll all be free of this pandemic and return to life and fun at Luna park/Coney Island !!!!!!!!

This place sucks compared to Astroland in the 80's, Astroland had a great "sleazy amusment park" vibe to it, like Action Park in New Jersey.
