HOLY MOLY! This is great! That soft edge update is my favorite, as well as the hyperlight for video output. I need this now!

WOW. Even when VR is not mentioned it seems to be a huge update! Perfect for me. It would be very nice to have spoken video-tutorials to see how the artists produce these stunning images.

I am really impressed by improvement of render quality.

For some reason lumion 8 renders look better than the later versions!

I wonder how feasible it would be to create a plugin to directly export to an htc Vive, so you could walk around in the model. Even if you can't interact with anything, I think this is the next step in the industry.

only one thing I dislike: The edge camera seems like being stretched. How can make a perfect perspective view? I made a ball lamp, but it seems like an ellipse, not perfectly rounded like a ball. If anyone has a suggestion please leave comment. thanks

Stretched perspective is the result of the zoom angle. A wide zoom angle means you can see a lot around you but it means the image is warped. A bit like looking into a Christmas ball or a goPro camera for example. In Lumion the default lens is a 15mm lens. This is an extreme wide angle lens and in real life these lenses are only used for landscape photography. We do this so you have a clear view of the scene and it's comfortable to look around. The human eye has a perspective distortion which is similar to the zoom factor of a 50mm lens. So, if you want natural results then set the zoom slider in photo mode to 50mm. For flatter results set it to 100mm or even higher. This is also the reason why portrait photos are usually taken with a lens of around 70mm. The flatter look makes your face look better.
