I would love to use the tube light! I always want a small hair light that I can hide behind something or hang and this would be PERFECT!!! The size and the fact that it’s already a little soft is awesome. Gaffing it or using that screw hole would be so easy. This little guy seems legit incredible. Placing it directly behind someone and using their body to hide it would also make a great way to light up the wall behind and give it some color.

I would love to add this tube light to my equipment for short films, product photography, and portrait photography. The limits are endless to these lights and its amazing that you are willling to give one of these for free. Keep up the good work

I've been wanting one of these tube lights... maybe more! I would use it as an accent light in my home-studio setup, to fill some shadows in the BG, and/or with some gel to create a swath of color. And, because I do a fair bit of travel, it'd be very handy to serve as key or fill light when creating video/zoom calls, etc. in less-than-ideally lit spaces (like hotel rooms). The accessories and fittings seem very versatile and useful. Can't wait to win and put it to use!

The size and pulsing of my Luke Skywalker lightsaber has left me, well, creatively boxed me in... I need a tube light.. Light size is such an tricky element in my current paper animations, as I need enough width to provide soft light on small, 12" characters, but small enough I can get close to them, or incorporate it into the sets. I've always wanted a tube light! And this form factor and features look PERFECT for my application! Thanks guys! And keep up the great work on the videos!

Thank you so much for all the work you do!! I’ve been subscribed for a long time now and always enjoy watching these videos. It would be so nice to have this tube light for my upcoming music video shoot. To be completely honest I purchased a used quasar science t8 2ft for like $40 and it’s the only piece of lighting equipment I own. I’m sure this light should go to someone who doesn’t own a tube light yet, but it would honestly be a huge blessing to be able to use the quasar as my key light and have a lume cube 4ft in the back for more color contrast and fill. As an actor, I would absolutely use this light for auditions. This would be perfect for on-the-road (especially if I don't have room to bring a ring light in my bag). I like the magnets on the ends for easy attachment to metal or option to use the tri-pod to stand it on a table. What a cool light! 🔦

Great review!! When you save a preset in the app, it saves the Hue, Saturation, and Intensity (brightness), so the preset you clicked on was saved at 100%. You can save any four color / brightness options of your choice! Go to advanced settings and you can adjust everything independently.

Cool review! I think the mini tube light would be a great help for a short film I'm working on in a few weeks. We have a few inside the car shots, that we're planning on actually driving the car, so if we need a bit more light for the actors to be able to expose to the outside. I think the size would be great.

There are so many great features on this light. I really like that it's made of aluminum instead of plastic and that it not only has magnets but that they rotate. That is so perfect for those hard to get shots. I'd used it to help me shot better photos for my small cottage craft business. Thank you so much for the chance to win.

These would be super useful in a lot of tight space shoots where they could be hidden in corners or concealed by other objects But, I'd start by using this pair of tubes to add a pop of colored rim light to a series of fine art photo shots I'm planning on shooting.

This tube light will come handy when portability matters most or have to be quick & efficient. I'd use this light to help my wife with her cooking videos on her socials. Happy wife, happy life :)

I can think of lots of uses for a Lume Cube Tube Light! I'd probably start out by experimenting with long exposure light painting with it, because I'm weird like that

I would use it to illuminate my catalog of neodymium magnets, which includes a 3 inch diameter magnet with a pull of over 285 lbs. (At least I think that's what it says. It is rather dark in here.)

I would love to enjoy it, I would use it a lot since its size is ideal to take anywhere, especially in places where we do not have electricity or the type of light is not the most appropriate when you want to take good photos

I am just gone say that i will use this for macro photography -insects and flowers..etc. I am in a huge need of a good light and lume cube seems the perfect fit for me(one of the most important key in photography is light , as you already know ). Who knows maybe ill even try to record it .Soooo ... i need good light and this looks amazing+ plus it is waterproof and easy to carry and i can recharge it with a portable battery so win win. I would put a mini in with my camping gear and an XL in with my hurricane preparedness equipment trunk.

Tube lights make great fill or rim lights. It would definitely get regular use in my grip bag.

Awsome tube light!!! I would use it as a background ambient color light for my new podcast, to give a hint of color to the shoulders and back of the guest and myself 😉 . . . . . Just give it to me😂😬

The tube light mini would be perfect to keep in the camera bag to make sure I have even lighting wherever I may shoot. And those magnets could attach it easily to my extra mic stand for side fill. (Off topic, but mic stands are so versatile. With an adapter it can be an extra "tripod" and the tablet case I use has a magnet that I can stick the tablet to the stand for a telepromter if needed)

An aweaome tube light to own. Its an advantage to have this little tripod ro make a rigid stand when i use it to add color to toy photography, and also a best one for color painting in photography. The apps is an advantage to make an easy control of light color. The magnetic base makes it easier to place anywhere when metal surface is available

This style of light is perfect for use matching atmospheric and composite elements. I'm sure I'd find uses for it in those types of cases as well as many more.

Would use for an eye light

I’ll be attaching it to my 360degrees rotating camera rig for constant lighting throughout the footage as the camera revolves around the product. This can also make a good accent light or hair light for interview setup. This can also serve as a food practical light on outdoor portrait shoots.

This is a great review however I do have to mention you overlooked Nanlite (even though you mentioned them). They’ve been the OG tube light creators and I’m pretty sure aperture and amran were around the same time, before Lumecube. Also you don’t need battery packs for them, more colors, DMX control, and now pixel lighting which is incredible.

I think there are so many uses but overall I believe I’d use this to add that pop of color in the background anywhere, having to lug around larger light source

Are these good for DJing? Do they have audio modes or different chases?

The app is extremely easy to use and makes it easy to change settings on different lights with different settings.

I am traveling to NC for a historic documentary about a murder and riot I would travel with this light in my pelican case to help me light on the set. Please! Thank you.
