I love this episode. I am from Lumberton but my father was adopted in the 50's off the black market so I don't have much Indian blood in me but I do have 12% from my testing. Most of my bloodline comes from Turkey. I love going to see these dances and hearing them sing. It's so freeing and healing. I lived all over the world but I would never deny Lumberton as my home. It's got some of the most beautiful ladies. I've read some comments on this location and to read these are not a real tribe or Indians is truly heartbreaking. It's well known this tribe was taken over by the Europeans so it makes total sense they'd not look exactly like other Indians within the USA. They will always be a tribe regardless of what our ridiculous federal government says. I mean why would they recognize them because then they'd have to pay out monies to these wonderful people. They are Indians and that's all there is to it and for anyone stating they are not authentic just doesn't understand history and the government. I love my people and that's all people around the world. Thanks for coming to our city and showing the world our people.

@Kymmberliestarr the real reason why the so-called-lumbee R not a real tribe, is Bcuz, the government hired a genealogists 2 trace their history & found that they all came from free black men & white women from VA. Thats why they have no language, no American DNA, never had a N.A. culture, never had a name until the 1950s, but they tried 2 tell tribes that they were of there tribes but the tribes told them, No U don't come from our tribe, so their name isn't a tribal name, its the name of a river. Their only N.A. ancestor they talk about all the time, a Lowery, was a mullatto, not a N.A. They lie & say they have a reservation but they never did. The town they lived N B4 they started going by lumbee was a town called Negro town. People around them always called their town Negro town. What they R is mullatto, quadroon, & quadroon blacks, with a lot of European DNA. American DNA markers never show up & that makes them zip, zilch, zero Indians. The government already know they aren't Indians, this is why they won't make them federally recognized. If they did they would B fraudulently making a group of mullattoes' Indians'.
