Exactly he's just a fan of Luke Cage. He doesn't mention Colossus after the opening at all. Colossus ENTIRE body turns to extremely durable metal not just his skin. Colossus is stronger and tougher than Luke on a whole different level. Cage will not be able to damage to Colossus. People think Luke Cage can just take all kind of damage just because of his skin. They don't know that he can die because his organs underneath still take full damage. He cannot just take hard hits over and over. Just because his skin absorbs the hit doesn't mean the organs go undamaged. If you put on body armor and get hit by a car you're still going to die. Same idea with Luke. Luke's organs skeleton brain etc are still going to take FULL DAMAGE from the force. Luke will have no way to hurt Colossus but Colossus can MOST DEFINITELY hurt Luke. Colossus is much stronger, tougher and better trained than Luke. Ol boy is just a fan of Luke Cage.

His skin is invincible but someone like Deadpool found a way around it See, his skin makes him invulnerable so he could just throw a grenade in his body with pym particles so he wouldn't notice it. Colossus could fight Namor underwater better because he won't have to breathe AT ALL. When Colossus is in his armor State his entire body is made to metal. His skeleton his organs etc. in that state he doesn't have to breathe, eat etc. Luke will DROWN. His organs also still take damage because they are still fully human underneath. You think if I put you in a strong helmet I hit you hard as hell in the head with a crowbar that you're not going to take any damage? No your brain is still going to get concussed from slamming into the inside of your skull, your neck is still going to take big damage trying to resist the force of the hit. A strong enough hit will UNALIVE Luke but it won't damage Colossus. His entire body turns to a very strong metal similar in strength to adamantium and vibranium. Imagine having an entire body as strong as Captain America's shield. Now add to that not needing to eat, not needing to breathe etc.

Colossus also doesn't need to rest or breathe while Luke Cage still does so eventually Luke will tire and the fight will be over.

I obviously love Luke Cage, but he's not beating Colossus.

When Colossus gets knocked (which he has) he changes back to human. It's over then. Cage is indestructible 100% of the time. That's the 1 variable. Cage takes it

​@@117Awesome one on one doom isn't hard. Doom's power is not in hand to hand or ohysical combat. Even kingpin has beaten dr doom one on one. If doom has time to prep, than doom literally beats most of marvel as he has done it before.

Colossus has spent to much time in the danger room, he is an expertly trained fighter. He would win with technical skill.

Colossus according to both the comics and various books detailing individual characters and their power levels/abilities is significantly stronger both offensively and defensively. He is the only one aside from the Hulk who has decisively defeated Juggernaut blow for blow. He is also physically stronger than Luke Cage WITHOUT powering up. Luke Cage is certainly no joke but Collossus is solidly more powerful.

I think there needs to be some other considerations. Such as use of tools and planning. Colossus has some consistant hicups when it comes to plans. Luke Cage however shown to get wiser. Id like to see this situation drawn out more seriously

@@FirstNameLastName-okayyoutube i would normally agree with you but given facts such as Colossus being decisively stronger than Luke Cage WITHOUT powering up in this case the physical strength advantage is too much. I do agree that Luke Cage is the better tactician but I wouldn't say he is a good strategist he is too street level in his thinking for that and there is a big difference between strategist and tactician. Colossus is a decently good strategist and tactician. Although I wouldn't say he is a master at either and if you can get under his skin he gets rattled easier than Cage does. As older comics have shown. However as someone who is former military I can tell you that alone would be unlikely to give Cage a decisive win. Also given that Colossus has solidly defeated individuals that Cage couldn't hope to that alone goes a long wait to being a guaranteed win for Colossus. I would love to see a professional writer who knows the history of both characters do a serious comparison. Regardless of the outcome it would be a very interesting read.

He is far above what marvel would term as ""peak human strength"" in terms of pure strength he was shown in the old school comics to be able to bend and tear metals such as high grade steel without powering up. While his defense isn't as good without powering up his strength is. He is also the only one aside from the Hulk to decisively defeat Juggernaut blow for blow (while powered up) which is something nobody else has done and is something Luke Cage has NOT done. He has also at times held his own against the Hulk something which Luke Cage has failed to do on multiple occasions. Don't get me wrong I like Luke Cage. But Colossus solidly has him beat. Luke Cage physically is about as strong as John Walker is in the comics. Its a toss up as to who is stronger. John walker has been shown to be solidly weaker than Colossus which means so is Luke Cage. I would love to see a competent writer who knows the history of both characters write an all out fight scene with both characters at their best. While realistically I can't see Colossus losing it would be a great fight.

@@rayne_brownOk well the Marvel Universe states that Poitr. In his non Organic steel form, does NOT have superhuman strength. He is as strong as a human body builder able to lift approximately #600. Secondly while I agree that Colossus is stronger and possibly more durable than Luke Cage. It doesn't mean he would win in a fight I remember WB Hulk soundly handing him his hat and spider man has out foxed the Juggernaut and he is certainly not as strong as the hulk or the Juggernaut. Lorie is a pillar of strength but is absolutely not a brawler.

Colossus Strength = 100 TONS,LUKE CAGE STRENGTH = 50 TONS. Look: 1 year later I discovered that Luke Cage is stronger than I thought, I think he has Takes strength now...

Colossus is class 75 or at last I checked and Luke was class 50-70. Class means your weight class in Marvel how much you can lift. It’s like Alpha, and Omega level for mutants and other beings in a sense. But Luke has beaten Rhino I believe twice, who is a class 90.

Hear me out: a Luke Cage movie called “Luke Uncaged”

Last I checked Luke cage can lift between 25 to 50 tons depending on the writer. Colossus can left over a 100 tons last I checked. Good fight but in a slug fest the stronger should win. The confusing thing is their durability is similar so unless Luke picked up some fighting move from Ironfist. Colossus should eventually win.

Don’t forget that Luke cage insides are still destructible. It’s just his outer skin that isn’t. Colossus on the other hand when in his organic metal form all of his insides are metal as well. A metal that is so durable that it took wolverine multiple slashes and jabs cut him. I think colossus wins this one.

As for the insides are still solid I agree but it has to be some degree that this does not apply. I mean Luke Cage's brain for example. I never heard of someone giving him a concussion or him worrying about brain damage from being hit too hard. So that one I'm going to leave alone. They rarely fully explain a superhero or villain's limitations. Still a good call.

Comics are inconsistent but Colossus was quite a bit stronger. Thing much stronger than that, then Thor and Jugg, then Hulk at the top.

I like both but Colossus is virtually vibranium although the same can be said about Cage. COLOSSUS IS 1000 TON PLUS & CAGE IS ONLY 25TONS PLUS BOTH BE HITTING EACHOTHER HARD BUT WHO WOULD HAVE BETTER HANDS?

I think this match pretty clearly favour colossus.

I love Luke, but in general Colossus performs better against top tiers and fights on that level more consistently. But Cage will give him a fight. What he (only in direct comparison) lacks in strength and durability, he somewhat makes up for in skill as a street fighter. Colossus is no slouch either though in that department. Edit: That image of Cage is awesome btw!

Another common ground between the two is ethics. Both are boy scout type heroes. You see this in comic, accurate colossus in the deadpool movies, and Luke Cage demonstrates this in the MCU defenders series

The jessica jones series showed that Luke cage still had vulnerable organs even under his tough layer of skin. His eyes are also not invulnerable. Because of that, I really just think Luke cages just a tad out of his league here.

Idk where tombstone scales but I can't stop thinking about cage vs tombstone. Their powers seem very similar.

Two of my favorites! I cosplay Luke at events for kids here in Vegas. I would love to see a team up with these two.

Totally disagree while Luke Cage is nothing to sneeze at colossus is on a whole Nother level the metal that he’s transformed into has been made of it matinee times and even became a juggernaut fusion that said he can go toe to toe with the lights of the thing and the hulk and last much longer and do much more damage cause more much more damage

I appreciate the idea, I just think Colossus’s powers have a few edges that take him over Cage in this instance. I don’t know if this is all canon, but from what I know his interior is metal and he essentially cannot die while he maintains that form. I believe it’s been shown he doesn’t need to breathe, eat, or technically sleep, so I would think even things like muscle fatigue may go away. Combine that with this, getting hit with a super powered metal fist hurts a lot more than getting hit with a super strong fist that will not cut itself on your metal chin. Cage would make my man work for it tho

Luke Cage got quite the glow up these last 15 years.

Even when colossus was first starting out (80's) his big advantage was that he had CQC training downloaded into his brain. His big defeats were mainly psychological, or he was just physically removed from combat somehow. It wasn't until the Mutant Massacre that he was even damaged despite facing cosmic level threats previously. And he responded by casually snapping the neck of the guy who hurt his friends... He was basically holding back the whole time. And that's BEFORE he was powered up.

Fighting namor under water is the equivalent of fighting the hulk

According to the MarvelForever rpg stats... Colossus has unearthly (100) strength and Monstrous (75) Endurance with 205 health. Cage has amazing (50) strength and incredible (40) endurance with 150 health. On paper it's not even a close fight.

Cage ran away from Abomination in Devils Reign. He legit said there was nothing he could do to Abomination. He's a powehouse for sure, but he's not in the same league as Juggernaut, Hulk, Colossus, Abomination, etc.

And yet another clear-cut example of someone that doesn't read comics LOL personally I'm a fan of both characters however I'm not delusional, Colossus wins this fight no contest. Colossus can lift well over 100 tons Luke Cage I think Max is out at 25 to maybe 50 tons? On top of that Colossus is the more capable fighter having been trained by wolverine I want to say. Which couple that with the fact that Colossus has literally beaten people stronger than Luke Cage means a lot. And again it is still a clear-cut example of someone that may be skimmed a few comics or someone that depends on the Marvel wiki or even Wikipedia for their facts to upload these videos.
