Modric must be the most consistently efficient all round midfielder, breaks up oppositions game and creates so much going forward. Doesn't score many goals but I cannot think of another more complete midfielder? Irreplaceable in his position and Madrid will be praying he does not get injured.

rigopeeonyou iniesta is not playing his best, but he is fucking andrés iniesta. or are you going to tell that he didn't make an impact in this match right after he entered the pitch? luka is my favourite player, but iniesta is probably the best deep-lying playmaker of all time. luka is right behind him, making himself a true legend. you, as a real madrid fan, can't deny this.

John Chaser just outclassing busquets surprised me [rakitic is not in his best and gomes has to still prove himself worthy in barcelona]. the presence of iniesta in the field was as evident as modrić's. i rate kroos higher than modrić in terms of technique, but modrić dribbles! adds something magical to the game. he is my favourite player
