And vice versa- Americans born and raised in Indiana or Arkansas or Nevada or wherever can travel freely to Puerto Rico with no passport. It's as American as Hawaii and has been part of the US longer than Hawaii and Alaska, but the language is not English is all

Actually in the video you can see the poor community of la Perla that in some way is kind of segregated from the Old Citadelle of Old San Juan is just right out of the walls of the old fortress of San Felipe del Morro that is actually a US federal monument is 457 years old since the foundation of San Juan in 1539 and the construction continued along150 years.
