The San Diego Padres couldn't finish the 3-game sweep of the Miami Marlins, but they were able to salvage a homestead which started off very poorly against the New York Yankees.
The Padres now will enjoy a day off in KC before a 3-game series vs. The Royals and a reunion vs. former Padre, Michael Wacha. They will then finish the roadtrip in Anaheim vs the Angels before heading back home to face the D-Backs.

Totally agree! There was two kids that were next to us that stood out to me. They brought a huge sign and were chanting the whole time, it really made this video extra fun to film!!! We need more of it!!!

Every time I watch a video like this I always wonder why a ballplayer can't take a few minutes for a selfie. It says a lot about their character. I love what I'm seeing with Luis! He's similar to #19 on and off the field. And Estrada, he's the best from the Inland Empire!

well, the kid who moderates the "Talking Friars" podcast implied that we should dominate the road trip...he listed KC as one of the clubs that we should beat. Thats the vibe I got from him. However, KC has a better win/loss record than we do. Ive followed this damn team way too long to assume we should do this or that, on a road trip. I see these fans here on the video and it makes me smile, man...if this team ever wins a WS, this town is going to lose its damn mind, for real...because unlike any other team on the West Coast, in either league, we have a history of ALWAYS finishing BEHIND LA...all you gotta do is look at how many former-Padre fans became Dodger fans, because they got sick of watching us lose, for decades and decades. Im going to stick with my Pads, but I need for Manny and Tatis to ACT LIKE they give a shit about the history of this franchise, and how fans like these in the video, have given their souls, money, time, energy and love to this team. We've done our part...its time for a billion dollar lineup to do theirs.

Very well said and I couldn’t agree more! Every time we go to Petco for a game on a Monday or Tuesday night vs a bad team and see how many fans show up to support the team gives me goosebumps, especially when you consider the dark days of this franchise. When the day finally comes of the Padres winning a championship this city is gonna come unglued, especially all the day one fans who have had to endure the lowest of lows, I just hope I am alive to see that day!!!! No doubt about Tati and Machado too, they have to start pulling their weight this season if this team wants any chance to make a run. Thanks again for watching and that great comment. 🤝🏼
