Did the Christian First Fruits feast of Lammas originate with a Celtic harvest festival full of fraternizing, frolicking, and ritual sacrifice?

Even though the Telltown gathering was inaugurated by Lugh on his holiday, the holiday itself has broader implications; other gatherings were inaugurated by Lugh for Carman and Naas in towns that still bear their names. So it's complicated. You might also want to compare Tailtiu's name the 'talamh' the Irish word for 'ground', Tellus (the goddess Romans equated with Gaia), and the Sanskrit word talam "plain/ground". Also, the Victorian idea that Lugh is a sun god was thoroughly debunked even before the rise of the comet theory; given his connection to Mercury and Odin; and given that the sun is a feminine noun in Irish - you may want to look to goddesses like Aine, or Grian (literally 'Sun), or even Brighid (who has a Christian prayer that calls her, flat out "She, flame-golden, the sun." Notes aside, (it's all good for the algorithm, right?) I quite enjoy your channel, keep up the good work.
