I sound weird while saying this but out of all the aircraft wings I have seen, the 747 8 is like that one crush of your who you can’t stop looking at

Beautiful wings

The 747-8 is the most beautiful plane in the world from the outside, but #2 as far as being a passenger. The Airbus A380 is the best airliner in history to be a passenger in.

Wow, super long taxi to the runway, and that bridge :o For those of you complaining about the taxi footage being too long, takeoff roll starts at about the 19:00 minute mark. I for one enjoy all the taxiying, reminds me of when I used to fly. Haven't been on a plane in decades. Great video as always, Dan.

This is why I think air travel is so fantastic. You get the trill of the engines on near full and with two smooth turns of the yoke, your up hundreds of feet in the air in no time. I always think to my self. 2 minutes ago i was sitting there on the taxi way, and now I'm up here. That's the best take off video that I've ever seen. Excellent job!

Sadly airlines are more interested now in smaller aircraft like the 787,a320-21 NEO for long haul travel for transatlantic travel I knows it’s sad these amazing aircraft have been around for 60 years!! What a beast of an aircraft

I flew on one of those from Frankfurt to D.C. once. It was pretty cool. they actually allowed me to take a look into the cockpit at the gate! there were soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many buttons and switches. Too bad 747 passenger service will be a thing of the past soon. They're such beautiful aircraft.

I think the reason that the aircraft has not been selling is because Boeing only offers GE engines. They would not allow Rolls Royce or Pratt & Whitney to offer their engines on this new 747. Everybody went for the Airbus A380 that offers the RR Trent 900 or the Engine Alliance (GE/PW) GP7200.

***** I think it has more to do with the fact that airlines are shifting to widebody twin engine planes like the 777, 787 and A330 because they're more economical and can carry almost as many passengers. Airlines are shifting away from jumbos which is a shame. Even the A380, as famous as it is, isn;t selling as well as Airbus would like. The 747-8i will probably sell better in the future, but as industry trends are showing, it won't do as well as the far more popular 777X and 787

Systematic the great thing that the 747 will always have over other aircraft is that it can be made a cargo plane, passenger carriers will forever go with economic designs, to me the only saving is on the number of engines as the -8 is super fuel efficient and lets face it you could barely hear those engines

I thought we were just enjoying a tour of the airport grounds, but at 19:03---lo and behold!---the damn thing starts speeding up then just jumps into the friggin' sky! Amazing!

Thanks for posting this video, its always amazing to me, how two fragile wings with all these flaps can lift a few hundred tons like nothing! The last time I was on a 747 was 1988 on a flight from Baltimore to Frankfurt, so many feelings come back to me watching this!! And watching the wings at landing bouncing up and down was the most impressive on this flight, what an incredible machine this Jumbo 747 is, I love this plane!! Thanks to the American Nation, who first built the biggest plane in the world in the 1970´s! Greetings from Germany!

For those of you who keep complaining about the wings, they are designated so as to encounter minimum aerodynamic drag especially during take-off and landing.. Otherwise, there would be turbulent flow over the wings that would cause vertices/Eddies' at the back:-) I'm currently doing my second year of engineering guys;-)

At the very end of the video, I love the color of the contrail coming from the other aircraft above you. Stunning. Love your videos.....

what a beaut - long and low - just what's best when flying on a '47 of any type. For those that don't know their Queens, note the absence of the traditional triple slotted trailing edge flaps on the dash 8 series of Jumbo. The outer flap being a single device and the inboard flap being a double slotted section.What a nice way to see an 800 - not many airlines operate them in full passenger configuration, the majority having been built as cargo luggers.

This plane must have travelled some 20 kilometers before taking off.

The highway is interstate I90 it brings traffic in and out of airport. When u go under the taxi ways and a 747 is going over your head its amazing. I will upload video.

The hell. I never ever seen a plane with red smokes. HOLY MOTHER OF CHRIST!!!!!

It seemed as though the ground tug was going to push the plane to it's destination. That was probably the longest pushback I had ever seen.
