almost 13 years later and i still cry like a bitch listening to this ost, and remembering lufia. the very first game i have ever played, this game made me who i am today...it's the song of my childhood :) it is truly a masterpiece and the best game ever

I could not agree more, I would even play through the final bosses again and again just to hear this beautiful piece, it make me cry with it's pure tone and while the sadness of losing two characters you've grown to love is there, it is also an immensely satisfying piece to listen to for the sheer fact that i, as a child was able to finish this game. LUFIA is, and always will be one of the best games to come out of the previous generation.

The end with Max and Selan is juuuust amazing. **spoiler alert** Max destroying the engine of the fortress of doom with his last breaths is juuuust amazing. And then Selan and Max flying together in the sky, just woah. I remember that scene more clear than 98% of action movies nowadays with crazy special effects.

Its an amazing game, definitively one of my top 5. If you enjoyed it I would recommend trying undertale.

Well, guess who bought the rights to Taito when the company went out of business? Square Enix. Guess they're not releasing it, well knowing that it's waaay better than any of their "modern" FF games. They don't want to destroy their cash cow. They will forever hide it from us I fear. At least we have the memories.

I play this sound repeat and this make me cry

both fortress of doom and rise of the sinistrals had me in tears when i beat them.... its rare for me to cry at a video game ending but i recently played through the legend returns thanks to the 3ds e shop and while i still shed tears at the end....that time it was for a happy ending when wain and seena can live in peace together.....and i dont care if the 2nd games remake had a happy ending for the new game plus mode.....it didnt change the fact that the quote "remake we all wanted" ruined the series and any chances of a new game in the future....unless we the fans band together like the mother 4 community and make lufia the way we like it....who is with me on this?

Hmmm I have to play fortress of doom again...I dont remember the end. But if you liked those 2 I would recommend giving undertale a try.

Indeed it does. Sacrificing their lives....but in the end, it wasn't in vain, so a new era could flourish. Still, losing them hurt so much after all you have experienced with them throughout the events of the game.

Terranigma has good music, but yeah Lufia2 beats its ass. I also think its a better game overall..I always felt Terranigma was a bit too odd for its own good. Some things I never quite understood X) Like wtf with evil yomi and then newyomi all of the sudden..

I'd say Lufia 2, Terranigma and Chrono Trigger all well deserve the top RPG spot on the SNES.
