Yeah and “destroyer of worlds” at the end of the movie, is like a twisted dark version of this song, as Einstein and oppie realize they truly set of a “chain reaction which will end the world”
@unrealbot3027

I think the difference in speeds between the downward octave and upward octaves actually try to portray how a slow moving neutron (although it's around 10^5 meters/sec it's still slow on a subatomic scale) hits the first U-235 during fission and from then onwards an uncontrolled chain reactions starts happening at tremendous speeds (the released neutrons hit the conseuquent nuclei of U-235 at speeds of upto 10^9m/s). The first downward motion in the octave defines the slow moving initial neutron used for bombardment of the first nuclei. The fast moving upward motion of the octave represents the uncontrolled chain reaction that ensues.

@@ChronicMane9 "The music" as used in the movie refers more to an innate understanding/talent in a subject. Think about a talented artist such as Van Gogh, who ordinary people with little talent in art couldn't dream of replicating his work/understanding of that field. That goes hand-in-hand with Oppenheimer's "Can you hear the music?" at the beginning of the film. The physicist is asking him if he "gets it" referring to quantum physics.

The film of the year !
I remember when I heard this soundtrack for the first time, I literally started crying, because there were feelings in my chest that I couldn't explain and it was like beautiful chaos, terrifying and alluring at the same time. It's definitely a masterpiece
"They wont fear it until they understand it, and they wont understand it until they have used it" One of the best quotes in this movie.
This soundtrack gives me fear..horror.. sadness ..excitement.. thrill.. acceleration.. innovation.. happiness.. all at the same time . Music have such great power when its arranged like this ..
For me personally, this song encapsulates the journey and feeling of learning something new, whether it be a new topic, hobby, skill, job or whatever. At first it begins slowly. You're new to whatever it is you're learning, beginning with that spark of interest. Then slowly but steadily, it begins to pick up speed, eventually reaching full throttle as what you're learning completely envelops your attention and focus. Along this whole process, you're learning more and more. Everything is flooding into your mind, the knowledge, the skills, the emotions, the desire to know more, to learn more. From what began as maybe a small interest, you are now completely driven towards accomplishing/learning. Eventually, it all comes to a head, every little piece you have picked up and placed along the way forming this one comprehensive and complete puzzle, like a painting you began now finally taking form into something beautiful and unique to you as an individual.

I've been playing Violin in Orchestra. All I can say that this is hands down one of the most beautiful masterpieces I've ever heard
When I first heard this in theaters and saw the visuals… I don’t think I’ve ever been in love with a soundtrack like this. I never thought anything would top Interstellar.
This is something, hard to explain, but you feel every emotion of fear anxiety, wonder, passion, power and a lottttt more. You can actually hear from 1:22, the uncontrolled chain reaction finally starting, a massive increase in the number of free nutrons hitting those uranium atoms in more and more numbers, the fission process accelerating
Damn, this film is about to sweep so many awards from stage and it will deserve every one of them. Soundtrack, visual effects, sound editing, screenplay, best film, it will win everything save for animation.

the first 15 minutes of the movie are simply mesmerizingly stupendous
I cannot explain the feeling of watching this masterpiece in the theatre. Specifically that ending, which to me is one of the best endings I've ever seen.
Not much of a movie person and I just watched it in theatre last weekend. I can’t appreciate it enough, the sounds, the story, the emotions that I was feeling . Nolan really did it 👏🏼
I started crying when I watched this movie in cinemas, it just makes me think about how much I love humanity, and how far it’s come. And I feel like I’ve found the true meaning of love, it’s not if somebody is a attractive or not, it’s about how you feel around them, and when you feel safe, you know you’ve found it.
its like going from naive excitement of being able to do the unthinkable to suddenly realizing that you've just opened pandora's box and only now understanding the sheer gravity of the situation in which you are responsible for.
Every second of this soundtrack created goosebumps when I heard it in theatre. Just to experience this soundtrack - I watched the movie twice in theatre 😅

10/10 movie
One word: eargasm
I'm so glad I avoided all trailers and media coverage on this film before seeing it in IMAX. Scenes like this just hit different on that big screen with the epic surround sound and the not knowing what to expect. It's not a perfect film but sequences like this lifted that cinematic experience in a way that I've never really seen a character-driven historical drama achieve before.
This track gives me the feeling of an out of body experience. It feels like my entire being and soul is seperating from body and mind, just flowing into space, without thought, in pure connection with all other humans and all of creation. Truly one of the most magnificent tracks I've ever had the pleasure to listen to.
When I saw this scene at the cinema, I felt so locked in, couldn't move or blink, had thousand of questions going through my mind. It's a beautiful scene, the visuals and the music got to me emotionally somehow. This is a masterpiece.
No doubt Oppenheimer is the best film of the year.
This piece is such an incredible experience to listen, and it conveys so much emotion. Truly fitting to accompany this magnum opus of a film
