Even birds that you can reasonably keep as pets ((Cockatoo and parrots for example)) shouldn't be in a cage overlong if it can be helped. My brother in law owns a small cockatoo and the bird's outside of the cage when he's not at work or it's bedtime. We had to put it back in the cage when his sister was over with her son for the first two years because for some reason he wouldn't 'be nice' to the baby but he's starting to come around ((our guess is crumbs from 'snacktime' are earning points- no, these snacks won't make the bird sick. we've already checked.)) Outside of that though, he's got a few hanging spots in the house and can more or less hang out and fly around. It allows them to stay healthy.

@@endercake3403 Uhm...Yeah, the message can be seen as a metaphor, of course. It doesn't have to be birds but can also be other animals or even humans. Although humans have more power to 'uncage' themselves than animals have. However, the text in the description ("Nearly half of the world's wild bird species are in decline, and one in eight are at risk of extinction. Let's stop the trafficking of wild birds. Let's leave them free, let's do not put them in a cage.") as well as the message at the end of the video, and the website it refers to, is about the protection of birds. 🤷

The video demonstrates how humans are unable to appreciate nature and its beauty without harming it, not only with regard to wild birds, but everything in general. I praise the video for its ability to touch the soul and make us reflect from beginning to end. Ludovico Einaudi is sensational!

However, when discussing the impact of humanity as a whole on nature, generalizations can be meaningful. Serious issues such as global warming, extinct animals, and endangered species indicate that there are significant challenges stemming from human activities. While exceptions exist, it is important to recognize the collective responsibility we have in addressing these environmental issues and promoting a more sustainable relationship with nature.

A bird in a cage isn’t cute or fun, it represents robbed freedom, torn families, suffering and declining biodiversity. For every bird in a cage, up to 9 birds have died. We must repair our broken relation with the natural world. 🦜❤

Replace “bird” with “farm animal” or “pet (non-rescue)” and see if there’s anything that doesn’t ring true just the same. There is no ethical consumption of animals.

@@anoptforout I have to agree, I have rescue rats, they had been bred for various terrible reasons and bred in such a way they wouldn't survive, they have a home with me but have free run, they are the most beautiful loving intelligent souls, animals are so much more (humane) than people feel they are, myself and rats go into the garden on walks etc we have a bond so strong I can't explain, but demand for pets leads to horrific suffering, it needs to shown for what it is regardless for unpleasant images we have the ability to stop this suffering and to do nothing simply isn't an option

I cried while listening to the piano. Birds come and sing on the tree in front of my house every day. I realized that it was not natural, and came to want to protect this peaceful time. Thank you for the wonderful music🐦

This hit me so hard🤍💔🤍...the power of this video will hit other incredibly. I have such a strong connection to all birds, I wish others did too. I see birds as spiritual messengers, they see the world from a different point of view and perhaps if humans could see the beauty of the planet that we destroy everyday from a bird's point of view. Ludovico has much experience and knowledge from life and expresses them out to us. I think he really shows many emotions in his compositions because of this (Such as his pieces Experience, Luminous, Nuvole Bianche, and I could go on and on).
