You know the studio that made this anime are notorious for making anime openings that can be synched up to nearly every song in existence.

It's probably because a lot of songs are in the time signature 4/4, and if a dance is synced to that time signature, almost any song in 4/4 can be put over it and it'll turn out well

This video is like a bowl of chips. Can't just watch it once. You're probably watching this for like the tenth time this week. It'll disappear for a while and then. On a random Thursday, you'll realize you're out of touch.
My Lord the cheerleader part syncing was perfect, too perfect, I wish this was as the true opening for this show.
Why is this song so fitting? Seriously, it is so weird how two separate pieces of media with nothing in common can click together perfectly.

Anime openings, and endings for the most part too, are made to synchronize with the song more or less decent. The songs used in Animes are mostly J-Pop or J-Rock which is part of the same music family as western music. Most western music uses the same parts, just in a different order.

This is it! Ever since I first saw someone do Out of Touch Thursday, I'd been hoping to find a version that used the whole opening. It syncs up *so well* that it's almost spooky! I mean, the original opening song is okay, but just.. this feels like it hits the opening's flow so much better. Especially when they're doing their solo "dancing" and then later with the pom-pom cheers.
This will probably sound weird, but hearing the actual theme song accompanying this video makes me more uncomfortable than this does.

Revisiting this great edit in celebration of the manga return announcement. Long live Out of Touch Thursdays! 🥳🥳🥳
Doing the bpm calculations by just listening to the songs, Out of Touch seems to be at around 116 bpm while the Lucky Star OP (Motteke Sailor Fuku) sounds around 170 or so. It is ridiculously uncanny how well Out of Touch matches the OP's movements.

You see, I appear to have messed up and somehow not noticed the frequent slowdowns in the middle of certain sections. It may not actually be noticable upon 1st viewing, but after comparing the two version, I have realized my error. Some sections are uncanny, but others do require slowdowns since the songs aren't the same length. I don't know how I didn't notice it, but considering that I haven't even watched Lucky Star and I pretty much only know the OP from Out of Touch Thursdays, I think it is understandable.

I love how the original Motteke Sailor Fuku makes it feel more like "Aw yeah lets do this!! Welcome to the show!" While Out Of Touch Thursday feels like "Sit back, relax and enjoy." It fits the calm, laid-back nature of Lucky Star more yknow? Idk how to explain it lol

It's amazing that one song could help establish a show's entire theme. Like, despite being a 2007 show, this really does feel like it could air alongside something like Pokemon or Dragon Ball in the late 90s. It's weird, but it's also a cool feeling!
