You can definitely see Bingo and Lila’s friendship in Pass the Parcel. Besides Bingo saying that she’s happy when Lila is happy, Lila also shows empathy for Bingo. It’s a blink and you’ll miss it moment, but if you look closely, Lila reaches for Bingo when Bingo runs crying to Chilli and you can see that Lila starts tearing up for her friend.

Yeah, that old dog was Maynard, Grandad Mort's friend. Considering that Maynard must work closely to his cabin, Jack's dad ended up quite a bit out of course. But this also shows that Chilli must have grown up not that far from Bluey's school, which is located at the Glass House Mountains.

The parties in "Pass The Parcel" take place in real life locations. We start at Lila's birthday, which takes place in Wittonga Park. As far as I've seen, the next two birthdays (Chucky's and Jasper's) take place in Wynnum Inflatable World. Buddy's birthday is in Wynnum Whale Park. Pom Pom's birthday is in her family's apartment, but we see the Story Bridge outside. Muffin's birthday we can assume is at the farm Buttermilk, the pooping pony, lives. Missy's birthday in an area called The Gap. Finally, we're back a Bluey's house for her birthday.

When I was a kid (90s) pass the parcel was halfway between the two, a big prize at the end, and smaller prizes in SOME of the other layers, but not all the layers.

I remembered playing Pass the Parcel as a child, each layer had a piece of candy and a main prize in the middle.

That’s how we have always done it in the UK too, never heard of anyone using Lucky’s Dad’s rules.

When I was growing up in the 80's one of my friends was British and we played it with a lollipop in every layer and a large prize at the end

Huh, I never knew Pass the Parcel wasn't a thing in the U.S as it always been a Birthday Party staple during my childhood (Of course being born in Australia and all). Although I guessing Pat's way of pass the parcel was done in the 80's as I was born in the mid 90's and every game of pass the parcel had a small prize in every layer

Whenever I played pass the parcel we had a small prize in each layer but a big prize at the end. Everyone was really happy to get something and see what they got, and still got to be extra excited at the thought of maybe getting the big prize.

i love Housework so much. just like Bandit and Chili always teach the girls a valuable lesson, the other way around happens as well as this episode shows wonderfully, also it always makes things easier and funner to just be a little silly like that when doing chores ^u^

I love Pass the Parcel, it teaches a lesson about accept loss that most kid shows would be too scared to show! I'm glad they didn't make Pat the parent who had to learn a lesson. He took a risk and the children all benefited from it!

An important but very technical difference exists between 4 wheel drive and all wheel drive. What it amounts to is that all wheel drive is more for keeping traction in inclement weather conditions and 4 wheel drive is more for off-roading. That being said, the sign was probably more a recommendation rather than a requirement

There actually was a pile of poop in the scene with the Pony Lady and buttermilk it was behind Buttermilk so uh yeah Buttermilk had already pooped but the action just wasn't shown this time oh yeah and season 3 episode 15 had a bit of censorship and the scene that was censored is the scene where Jack's dad is asking the Argentinian Doberman and the other dog if they know how to get to the school that Jack attends and the censorship comes in after the Doberman says neither are we i'm from Argentina after that the other dog originally says i'm from France but for some reason Disney censored that to the other dog saying we're Backpackers

When everyone gets something, the something is always small, cheap and forgotten about pretty quickly. The bigger presents have actual value to the kids, which makes the game more special. 3) Australia has a massive culture of backpackers working while travelling. They'll usually get jobs as fruit pickers or farm hands, stay for a month or two while exploring an area, then get a new job in the next area they're travelling to.

So my family does pass the parcel, but we have a unique twist. So, on Christmas, we all get together at a family party. The children under 18 get to the table in age order and the oldest starts. The oldest starts with a box wrapped 6-8 times, and inside is usually 30-50 bucks. But here's the twist. There's no music like in this version. We instead have to put on oven mitts and a santa hat before we can start tearing into the box, BUT, the next oldest in the line is rolling a die. If they roll a 6, the one holding the present has to stop and take everything off and hand it to the next oldest, while they themselves pass the die to the next person. You cannot start tearing at the wrapping until you have all three items on fully. So if you're cousin rolls a 6 before you have all three on, then you have to take them off and hand them over, all while the third person is rolling. So if you want to penalize the next in line, you'll be slow taking off the garments. First to get to the middle gets the money.

pat was the epitome of ¨a good thing gone wrong¨ in pass the parcel lol. the games ¨wonder ball¨ and ¨hot potato¨ are similar to pass the parcel where an object is passed around until the music stops. except for in these games the one holding the object is out of the game.

4 wheel drive refers to a car that uses all 4 wheels to move instead of 2 wheel drive which only utilizes 2 of the 4 wheels. all wheel drive means that the car uses all 4 wheels to drive instead of only utilizing the front 2 wheels or the 2 rear wheels but yes all wheel drive is 4 wheel drive. just to clarify for those who dont know....knowing this made that little joke a bit funnier.

I played pass the parcel the old way & admittedly I cried too, but I got used to it & honestly think a kid would prefer the chance of a big prize rather than a guaranteed small consolation prize - hence why the kids adapt so quickly.

"Pass the Parcel" is a mixed bag. Interesting lesson, second speaking roles of Pompom and Lila... but _oh man,_ some of those scenes were hard to watch.

There's a bit of a "censored" moment in the American version, where instead of saying "I'm from France", the guy says "We're backpackers". My interpretation of that is it's to imply they're just passing through instead of being migrant workers... Latin American migrant workers being something US audiences might consider a bad stereotype? I'm just guessing. Compared to all the other changes in the US version of Bluey it's a bit of a strange one.

This is the first time we've seen Pat's wife Janelle, after she was only mentioned before now.

Eric, have you seen Person of Interest? It's a five season TV show, set mainly in NYC, which morphs from police procedural-plus-Batman into a debate on the fundamental nature and human use of AI. A brilliant show, if you're looking for something for after you finish Bluey, and with the NYC angle as well, you might really like it.

"Pass the Parcel" is where you realized how awesome Pat is. None of that "Lucky's Dad" crap. Put respect on Pat's name!

The one thing I don't like about "Pass the Parcel" is that we abandon Pat as a perspective character after Chucky's party and after seeing his perspective vindicated through the rest of the episode, it feels like his willingness to accept either rule set comes out of nowhere. My personal take is that he reflected on his own inability to tough out the backlash and also realized the kids were learning the lesson he wanted them to by focusing on how his rules made the game fun instead of through lectures about the real world but it would've been nice to actually see what was going on with him as popular opinion shifted.

IMO, the lesson in “Pass the Parcel” is a bit of a hit or miss for me. There’s generational differences with the parent’s side, but at least it teaches kids how to be a good loser.

I think Pass the Parcel is one of the rare Bluey episodes where I just don't like it at all. The way the message gets conveyed leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
