Awesome video, to see the other end of the business, I worked as a diesel mechanic for Atlas Copco Wagner Mining Equipment in Portland, Oregon manufacturing plant for 17 years until the hole operation was moved to Sweden. We built a lot of mining equipment out of that plant that where originally designed by Eddie Wagner who in the late 40’s and early 50’s came up with the articulated, driver siting sideways, 4 wheel drive LHD and the machine that started it all was the ST-2D and the MT-410 .

I'd like to see their primary ventilation fan system , must be massive for intake of fresh air and waste air extraction . The electricity requirements must extraordinarily huge not to mention the electricity bill to the power company .

Wow, in 2016 this shaft was approximately 9,500 ft below the surface. I wonder how deep it is now in 2020??

That's Hell work. Possible at Kinskuch BC property for gold and silver deposits. Those people working at maximum performance under extreme danger.

You get used to it after a while . It's just a job to pay the bills just requires more alertness , follow all safety regulations and procedures. After 24 yrs underground working at depths up to 2100 metres below the surface the novelty wares off after a while . The dangers and risks are always present in mining , especially underground more so than surface mining .

Would obviously be nice if there was at least some narration/explaining some of the things being done as it goes along

i have worked in mines i find it hard to beleave with all this infrastructure and the money going in to it that this is just a mine more like a front for a different project

I thought the filming of such a project was fantastic. It brings back memories when I worked at Fernhill Colliery, Rhondda and the shaft sinking of No 5 pit. The project went well and was completed but due to the economic climate they closed the colliery in 1967.
