I agree with you about his usefulness vs Semrah ... he's good and his buff dispel is significant but .... not quite as good as i was hoping hehe

Imo he's good for early-mid game players. I'm 104 days in the game and he helped me get 8k on Semrah because I can't kill him fast enough during his aegis shield phase. But for endgame players, I think the dispel is the only useful thing they can get out of him... Great video btw!

I enjoyed the format. You are right, I don't need another video that is 5 minutes longer than it needs to be because I am watching a guild boss run. Maybe if their is a unique interaction or timing you can pull off then sure, show a short clip. But I don't need to see a start to end guild boss run.

Curious his ult mode out damaged his Demonic Embrace whci seems to be his DPS mode with Defense ignore, faster attacks and higher multipliers and guaranteed pursuits

@@werecoth yeah, I think there are a couple of factors at play here. The Demonic Embrace state typically takes longer to activate than getting a full rage bar, and you can't gain more Damnation stacks during the state while during his ult you can still get rage from other sources (i.e. Laurel, hollow, elowyn etc.). The other, and maybe more significant, factor is that the GB has really low defense so the defense ignore is not as impactful.

@BluntgutsGaming That makes sense, especially the rage from other sources during his ult allowing a faster rotation and arguably more control over that aspect. Like you said though fast rotation of his talent is luck based. It gives him an interesting Playstyle to work around and with. Maybe a future exclusive Artifact will add a twist to this story.

Honestly he feels kind of underwhelming. That may be perhaps because I expected more out of him. But it seems we still need carnelian or a good watcher team to truly see his worth.

Yeah he isn't going to solve the boss on his own, but I do think he's a piece of the puzzle

so second test for demonic embrace was also with this gear set? i think infernal roar is a better choice

Yes it was, but in those tests I brought in 5 heroes to pop their ults immediately so that Lucius received the max Soulbound Arcana buff close to immediately after the battle began

what about the stuns from his A3? can we use his ult for both the phase that requires stun and the aegis phase? or is the timing too tight?

@@renarddubois940 You can absolutely use the ult in both stages. The only issue is that there's always a chance that he'll proc enough Pursuits to trigger Demonic Embrace before he gets enough rage to activate the ultimate. I think to mitigate this you can avoid stacking too much attack speed and potentially prioritize some rage regen when possible

It's very interesting how Moontons have fooled everyone. Just check the step by step plan. 1. Create a lot of hype around the first hero who can dispel buffs from enemies. Everyone wants such a hero for Semrah, right? 2. Players are pulling for this hero like crazy. 3. Then it turns out that Semrah's Aegis ability doesn't work quite the way the players thought, making Lucius much worse. And this was never explained. And the only way to get this knowledge is to get Lucius, because he is the only enemy cleaser in the game. 4. Profit.

Boreas….For Ancients… Demi, Uredin, Cyrus, Eldrr…. All broken… until we fell for it.

@@mckratos06 Tbf Cyrus is one of the best heroes in the game and Boreas, even post nerf, is still incredible. I don't remember there being much hype for Demi. Uredin and Eldrr were big disappointments. I've found this to be an issue far more consistently with the non-ancient heroes.
