Lucille Ball // Screen Actress
Ойын-сауық
I wanted this to be so much better.. I'm not happy with it but I've spent so much time on it I thought I'd upload it anyway. The point of this video was to show her other career. Lucille Ball was more than Lucy Ricardo. She was a movie actress long before she became the queen of comedy. =)

Awesome tribute, I can't believe I just realized how great an actress she was.
She knew how to convey emotion without saying a word. Her face was very expressive.
What a beautiful tribute to Lucy, you did a wonderful job! Thank you so much for putting this together and sharing it with us!
This actually made me cry. What a beautiful tribute to the most amazing woman that has ever lived!
This actually made me cry. She was such an amazing person I just
This is one of the most beautiful -- maybe the most beautiful -- tribute vid I've ever seen . And I see A LOT of them. Thank you so much!
Having played Lucille Ball on stage, my hat is off to you for this beautiful tribute. The recent film BEING THE RICARDOS is trash, and folks should see this to know the real artist here. Thank you for this. ♥️
Thanks for making me cry! I love Lucille Ball, she is my hero!
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ACTRESS IN HOLLYWOOD EVER AND THE BEST ACTRESS IN HOLLYWOOD EVER AND BEST OF THE BEST..
I am so moved by this work. Not only Lucy but your work in doing this. I will say to you that I grew up as a child alone with just my mom. Every night she would go to work and put me to sleep I would wait til she left for her job at the market and then wake up and turn on the black and white philco television set and watch Lucy. She was so much more than that. She has been honored truly by this video. Thank you so much for letting us see how deep she was. I will always remember and Love you lucy
Watch all these films all year long. All entertaining, and I have a few favorites, based on what I was buying when first starting my movie collection. Began with the Laser Disc format in 1990, and a double disc set of DuBarry Was a Lady and Best Foot Forward was giving to me that years Christmas. Lucille was my mother's employer for a number years and we still love her!
This actually moved me... great job. I wished you could have mentioned in the comments which movies these were. There was a movie she was in where she had a small part where she waltzed in wearing this gorgeous ensemble that included harem pants and sat on some guys lap. She definitely had poise. I wish some more of her movies were on here.
This is so incredible! I have never been so touched in my life! By far the best Lucille Ball video ever! Congradulations my friend!
wow ! beautiful music and wonderful video.
Wow!! She was just amazingly talented & beautiful 🌹🎭❤
Oh...you did very well. So nice to see her in the different stages of her career. I thought she did very well as a serious actress, but I got the biggest laughs from her comedy. She could do both, but glad she stayed with the smiles which made all of us smile.
SHE JUST HAD IT! GIFTED TALENTED BEAUTY & BRAINS SASS & WITT. HER DRAMACTIC ACTING WAS BRILLIANT HER COMEDIC TIMING WAS THE KEY TO HER SUCCESS....GRACE & STYLE A GENUINE CREDIBILITY TO OWN HER SKILL...UNMATCHED NEVER DUPLICATED...NO ONE ELSE HAS THIS GIFT TO ME...AND IF THEY TRY TO IMITATE HER CRAFT! TRY A LITTLE HARDER... I LOVE LUCY CAUSE SHE WAS SIMPLY AMAZING💞
Lucy is great in everything she does. We all are very lucky to learn, and get entertained from her hard work. God bless her!
She was always beautiful, what a gorgeous baby she was,💜🙋♀️
4:55 - I’m not crying, you’re crying 🤧
I must say, this is one of the most touching videos I have evered watched on YT...what a gem Lucy was.....
This is just amazing. I feel so mixed up right now. From this video I have decided what I want to be, until now I had no idea but now I know I want to be an actress and I'm going to bring the spirit of lucy back I'm going to try my hardest just like she did. We will always love you Lucy
Amazing actress!!!! I LOVE LUCY
She was beautiful 😍
Oh anne You did an amazing job! So beautiful and sad..
This was amazing, I loved it so much. Its so good that people will get to see these kind of videos to remind the world she wasn't only Lucy, she was Lucille Ball.
@MarilynxDoris Aw. That comment made my day. I'm so glad you liked it because I felt it wasn't good enough. Then again I always feel bad about my videos lol She was amazing. Best there was, is and ever will be ♥

They certainly broke the mold with Lucille Ball. She was beautiful, funny, smart, sexy, sassy & didn't settle. Some say she was crass in her life with people, but, you kinda had to be to survive in the business she was in for so many years. She had this unmatched knack of drawing you in & making you want to pull up a seat & stay to watch. She WAS the queen of comedy, I've yet to see someone do what she did so naturally, with the same response from people. When you look at her former work before "I love Lucy" you see JUST how beautiful & dare I say glamorous she was. I miss her, years later, I STILL can't get enough of her. RIP Lucille Ball, my favorite redhead of all time!
This was a Beautiful Tribute she was and is Soo Lovely Blessings ✌️ 🍀🌹 😘 btw always love her only kissing Desi😊 so Sweet♥️
This is about the most beautiful tribute thank you 🙏🏾🥰
Anne I can't Even Begin to say How wonderful this is so Special I Loved it so Much , So Much Work Put Into it . It has made me very emotional Full of Tears What an Actress, What a Women I would Give anything to be 2 % of what She is, And Anne You are wonderful for Making this , Thank You Christina =) X
Simply beautiful! I believe Lucille Ball would approve :)
I always love your videos. You're great. Thanks. And Lucille... Wonderful, wonderful (like "Yours, Mine and Ours" :-)) actress.
She was a real beauty, she was.
@licxstar Thank you for sharing this story. It's so moving for me to hear this. Lucy was a very deep and very complex person. There's more to her than her comedy. She was perfection in everything she did because she strived to be. She's truly a woman worth admiring and I will always love her too ♥
So great! I loved all the quotes so touching almost made me cry
you did a amazing job!! this is one of my favorite Lucy video's!! well done :)
@moviechick9620 Thank you. (and all of you) You have no idea how relieved I am. I thought you'd all be sooo disappointed in me lol I kinda was. I find it hard to do her justice because she was so great. ♥
@AfterTheWind Thank you. That means a lot because I was feeling quite bad about it lol Really happy that you like it =)
Awesome video. Well done. When I watch her in early pictures especially The Big Street I think she's the only one who could have played Jean Harlow had they made a true life story about here & had it been thought of before Lucy became enveloped in the Lucy Ricardo character. She had such was so feminine, beautiful, edgy yet soft. This was a great video, music, clips & all. Thanks so much.
Oh My God I LOOVE it ! It turned out great !! :)
You makes me sad Lucille .. you r so beautiful girl.. soooo talented ... wisdom and gracious lady as you very hard to find
You always have such amazing and awesome videos. :)
I love Lucy!
This video is just perfect! I her movies so much
@misswings83 hey, I did credit you all along, your websites are permanent on the right panel, right from day 1. Thank you for putting the effort to scan in all the pictures. Lucy fans really appreciate it very much!
Lovely tribute :)
@ClassicsWEREandARE 3:50 Too Many Girls (the movie in which they met) & 5:29 The Big Street
*GORGEOUS*! Love it!
@misswings83 You are perfect too, for producing this. As Lucille and Desi sit in their living room in the sky watching all the things that go on here on earth I'm sure I can ponder that they are both proud of their work and I can imagine that they are proud of you for showing us all in this very special collage what Desi always saw...a beautiful creation that was a gift to all mankind. A million
@licxstar That's a beautiful way to put it. I like to imagine that they know we love them. Sometimes I feel very close to Lucy.. ♥ I love to honor her memory. I'm working on another tribute right now =) Thank you for your words ♥
@julie11061 Thank you. And I'm glad she was able to inspire you to make such a wonderful choice. I wish you the best of luck! =)
Misswing83 i have no idea how you do it!!! its wonderful you sure do know how to touch someone heart with these amazing videos!!
@chericeM7 I know how you feel. Lucy is my LIFE!!!
SHe was so beautiful in and out
Thank you for that. I don't know Lucille Ball all that well, but this video increased my appreciation for this woman. Nice to see "Sorrowful Jones" in there, and I was also really happy to see that you used her small (and young) role in "Follow the Fleet". The scene where Ginger Rogers calls her in to makeover Harriet Hilliard was fantastic. It wouldn't have fit this video well, but she was so good there. She played it perfectly, which is impressive for such a small character part. Can't wait to see more of this wonderful woman as I continue to explore classic American cinema. P.S. -- Is that the score from "The Holiday" that you used there? It sounded familiar.
@TheMagicalwishes you make every video feel worth while ♥
I always keep comming back to this video, and I still cry every time. So beautiful. I know the main song used is Maestro by Hans Zimmer, but could tell me what is the piano instrumental in the middle of the video? Thank you ♥
@ramblingredrose13 Thank you so much for your kind comment =) All the movies used are listed in the video description. I have most of them on DVD and the rest you can find in my "Lucille Ball Movies" playlist unless they've been taken down ;-)
One of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen. And another beautiful baby was Lucia Mendez, actress from Mexico. See her on you tube too.👰
My God Lucelle Ball could have easily been better than Joan Crawford. It's like she dimmed her talent to be on Lucy. Flawless in every motion. How did they not see that??😯🙂💝

Actually, I never liked Joan Crawford - also, originally liked Betty Davis but later no - she and Crawford got very hard looking
This is amazing Anne! You did a wonderful job in this video. You chose great clips which showcase her different aspects in acting and the best moments of each of her movies. One of the best! You're an expert! hahas.
Great video! Thanks!
@prettyjess81 Thank you for liking my video. I wish it was better, but I, like you said, wanted to show that there was more to Lucille Ball than her Lucy characters. Long before television she was a screen actress like the rest of them. I've seen well over 30 of her movies and have loved her in all of them. ♥
@scales57 aw, thank you =) She was, she really was ♥
the piano misice kills it
Screen Actress Lucille ball before she Became the Queen of comedy of all time and her acting in her wonderful kissing to all the of Leading Men

Hey, well done on this video! I'm glad there are fans of Lucille Ball even today! She really was the most diligent & talented actress Hollywood ever had. Nowadays, there are just so many crappy movies around & people seem to love them. They need to appreciate people like her! I have a blog golucilleball.blogspot, do take a look at it when you're free! My instructor introduced I Love Lucy to me and since then, I had fallen in love with her. You're absolutely right, she was more than Lucy Ricardo!
@ilovelucy1992 Thank you. It's Irma Kusely, Lucy's hairdresser for almost 50 years! :)
Jamestown is my hometown too.
How strange it is for me to see her kissing other men, seems it only looked right for to be kissing Desi Arnez, since I have been addicted to I love Lucy shows, they brought me so much happiness, will always be my favorite show.♥️🙋♀️🐱

Actually she looked really into it when kissing Desi Arnaz on I Love Lucy, not so much with the other men in the films.
@sugarlipz96 Thanks. I wanted it to be a lot better though. But I'm glad you liked it =)
Nice job...music too loud.

@misswings83 Im Glad , She definatley Is =) X
@misswings83 thank you
it's odd , SHE WAS FAMOUS , BEFORE SHE BECAME EVEN MORE FAMOUS ! HER STOCK AND TRADE WAS THE SOFTNESS SHE WAS ABLE TO AMPLIFY !
hey i was wondering what is the movie 0.37 and 1.22
what movies are these from ?
(guest) Interesting clips from Lucille Ball's excellent career. Pity the modern music obscures the speech .,.. Would much prefer no music in this context.☺
hey i was wondering is someone could tell me what all of the movie scenes what were the titles of the movies through the whole video oh and i loved it
what is the movie 4.56 and 8.30?
