I love and miss my little town. Lucea, Hannover. God bless
Hanover is booming. It is home to most of the bigger hotels in Jamaica. The new Princess hotel in Green Island will be the largest and right now Grand Palladium is. The government needs to improve the infrastructure such as a BYPASS for Lucea. You will see this rainy season in September and October how impassable the bridge to town will be. DAMN SHAME😢. I ❤MY TOWN.
Oh dear, need some investment to preserve the buildings.
I went to Lucea Primary School.

The road is so narrow and it has no lane divide lines, the lines are needed especially for narrow roads to help prevent accidents, also some stop signs at crowded intersections or stop light signs, and proper crossings are needed as well so people can stop walking in the road randomly, it is a beautiful area that needs a little organization to improve function.
Im from Jamaica, Tucker St James. My mother was a Teacher at Barracks Road Primer and my dad was a Supervisor at Frome Sugar Factory. Lucea Use to be very nice back in the early to mid 1960s. I spent a couple summer with my Aunt, she was living in Dias. My Aunt worked at the Building Society in Lucea. My cousins and I would often walked to a neighboring community call Kingsgate and Blenning to look special mangoes and raid Jackfruit trees. My family left Jamaica in 1978 when Michael Manley and the PNP was taking on Communism. I've only been back to Jamaica twice since 1978 and only pass Lucea once when we went to Negril 1n 1996. Even our family property in Tucker St James was taken over by others. My Aunt that lived in Dias died in Canada in 2015 and she said she didnt want to return to be buried in Jamaica. I heard that crime is very bad down there now but would love to take my grandkids so they could see where I grew up but my children say they are not interested. Sad to see what has become of such a beautiful country.

I think you meant to say Kingsvale and Blenheim (birthplace of first PM, Alexander Bustamante). You can go on vacation at Grand Palladium in Lucea across di Harbour.
Greetings, Fire Reid. I like the look of the vintage buildings in Lucea. It would be a if they could continue to do what is necessary to preserve the historic feel of the town. Thanks for the journey. I'm enjoying the tour. Big up yuhself ✨️ 😘 One Love One Heart ❣️❣️😊
