When Don says "this is from star wars" he means specifically episode 4 a new hope. He isn't constantly "reminding" the viewer.

Awesome tour of the Star Wars archives. Nice props and all, but it's the on insanity bordering enthusiasm of the guide that really sells it. Listen him almost going out of his mind when he encounters an original Darth Vader helmet, or a prototype of an X-wing fighter. Also loved the nicely ad-libbed back-and-forth exchanges between him and the radio controlled R2D2. Classic stuff.

I went on the Disney backlot tour in 2007. They had a snowspeeder and sand skiff that were film used just laying on some gravel out in the sun and rain, just so the trolley could roll past them along with some other famous movie props. I almost cried. The sun had already bleached them out. Slow death, no love.

I went to the archive today and we asked about Jabba. They told us he mostly disintegrated but his eyes are presently on display in London.

This is a great video tour, thank you! I have Shinji Hata and Mark Cotta Vaz’s beautiful book "From Star Wars to Indiana Jones: the Best of the Lucasfilm Archives", published by Chronicle Books. I even briefly spoke with Mark Cotta Vaz on the phone. Shinji Hata organized the George Lucas Exhibition in Japan in the 1990s. Ken Vos of Hata International Netherlands has explained to me that Shinji Hata now lives in Tokyo. I've tried to look for sound recordings with the voice of Shinji Hata but so far have been unsuccesful. If any of you know of a recording of Shinji Hata's voice but it is only available in old, analog (VHS, audiotape etc…) format, perhaps I might be able to sponsor its digitization if the cost is not prohibitive for me (and if this is all right as far as copyright permissions are concerned). I have inquired with Lucasfilm to this effect but received no reply.

I can't tell if it's sarcasm, but I can explain you if you want: When episode 4 came out it actually was just called "Star Wars" then it was empire strikes back and finally return of the jedi. People were used to call it "Star Wars" and not "A New Hope" like everyone does now, so when the guy was saying "Star Wars" he meant "A New Hope".
