    It was a useful video, sir. Can I know whether the formula for gain and phase are the same for the buck-boost converter or is there any difference?

    Thanks for watching. The process is general. The equations are valid for any dc-dc converter.

    Thanks sir. for your lecture about FRA. that way, is it possible to measure loop gain and disturbance input voltage and output current ?, to verify our goal smps design

    Professor, it is possible to measure the input to output frequency response? I have tried to put the sine wave connected to the input side, but it does not work.

    Dear Professor, so lets assume that Vpp is 5V then, in this case are we going to see A_o of 6 dB? Thank you for your videos.

  • @MarcosAlonsoElectronics

    @MarcosAlonsoElectronics

    3 ай бұрын

    Yes, that is correct, if Vpp=5 V we have: Ao= 20*log10(5/(5*0.5)) = 6.02 dB

    Dear Professor, I would like to ask you why did you write the arguments of sisusoids in degrees @34.19?

  • @MarcosAlonsoElectronics

    @MarcosAlonsoElectronics

    Good question. This is because, curiously enough, the sin and cos functions work in degrees when used in .measure statements. To see this, try this example that calculates the average value of sin^2 function: github.com/marcosalonsoelectronics/misc/blob/main/test-sine-function.asc If you put the angle in rads it won't work

    professor, why the frequency plot DC gain value is not Vin?

  • @MarcosAlonsoElectronics

    Because we have to consider also the gain of the PWM modulator, which is 1/Vpp, where Vpp is the peak-to-peak voltage of the sawtooth waveform of the PWM modulator. Our plant is formed by the PWM modulator + the buck converter as shown at 1:14. Thanks for your question and for watching!

    The duty cycle perturbation is 1V out of 10V of the sawtooth waveform. So it is 10% perturbation. You have the link to the file in your comments below. Thanks!
