Kim knows the back and forth of the press room. Media asks questions. You answer them. Or not. My thing is when everything is PopTarts and Rainbows you want all the press coverage you can get. A little adversity hits and you’re cutting people off when they’re asking questions and you give ‘em the freeze. Increased scrutiny comes with the growth of the women’s game. Kim played in the era when if her La. Tech teams showed up at the gym without Pam Kelly or Angela Turner, the only people who’d care would be the folks in that gym. Today Angel doesn’t suit up and thousands of fans around the country want to know what’s up. Like I hinted, Kim doesn’t have to tell the press everything, but she knows they’re going to ask and the fact that they’re asking is a good thing. She could handle the situation with more finesse but she tries to rule the room with an iron fist.

Besides the drama, its good to hear what coach Mulkey is building with the team. I kind of figured she was splitting the point duties, and that seems to work better for the team. Del Rosario got big minutes tonight, and it she did very well! I'm super happy for her. I don't need to know all the in house dealings of the team. Things are being handled, and if thats all I'm going to get, then thats all I need to know.

@@ctbt1832Every team they have played are Division 1 school. If they win their conference they will be in the tournament in March. The schedules are made several years ahead. The top team gets to practice and the others get to practice, also going against the top 20’s.

Last i looked, it was South Carolina number 1, and no way this team is going to repeat without Angel Reese, with the exception of Colorado, they played against sub par teams.

@Siyanda Yeah. But she's at the games, and presumably practicing, which is better than Angel at the moment (though Poole didn't play at all, in that game Angel didn't play the 2nd half in). So, if she was gone for good, she wouldn't be dressed and in uniform. Looks like she'll be fine, and if not. It's because coach has others to fill the vacuum of whatever transpired?

Imagine going to a Laker game and Lebron doesn't play. They win but LeBron doesn't play and post conference the coach doesn't even acknowledge it. The league would be in an uproar. She's not hurting anybody by saying if she's practicing. All this dancing around the situation is lame. And the mother's going back and forth on social media needs to be shut down too if she's gonna stay quiet about it. This is the type of stuff that comes with the territory of wanting all the media attention last year and now you wanna shy away from topics. It gives mixed signals, you know. People can't understand that concept because there is no confidentiality. The coach chooses not to speak on the issue to protect her players. However, LSU is a public institution; therefore, all university records are open for inspection. Anyone can make a FOIA request and get all of the coaches' emails related to Reese in the past week. Of course, the university will probably blackout the player's name, but you will have the body of the emails and can piece together what's going on.

Remember, though they're athletes, they're still college students as well/at heart (at least legally). LOL. So, any non basketball stuff, maybe considered personal and off limits. She’s saying a LOT without saying a lot. It’s about LSU and love of the game & some have seemed to forgotten that.

Everyone needs to understand that “drama” isn’t something that ONLY this team has gone through, I mean Kim said it herself that it’s natural and normal for that to happen with every team, every year and it’s normal for everyone to have bad moments, and bad days. A lot of people are taking this whole thing way out of proportion, and are using this issue as an excuse to bully and hate on Angel, even more than ever. Angel already receives hate because some people are still mad about that championship….they hate seeing a predominantly black team, beat a predominantly white team. To the people who wanna shame Angel for apparently having “bad grades” I bet some of you had bad grades in school…..so why shame Angel for that? Some people have been bullying Angel for how she looks, and somehow equating that to her grades…..her physical looks have absolutely nothing to do with her grades at all. Like seriously the way you look, does not determine if you get good grades or not. As for her apparently having an “attitude” that’s a stereotypical issue because she’s black and it’s a known thing that the media will always try to portray a black girl as having an attitude problem, or being arrogant and cocky if she shows any other emotions other than happiness, yet if Angel is happy and feeling confident she gets told to humble herself when she never acts above anyone. People need to remember that Angel is still taking all of this fame in, she’s still learning and growing and it’s different for everyone in the team, because they’re all handling it differently as individuals. Kim said it herself that Angel is part of the team and will be back eventually…..we all need to leave Angel alone.

There's no GPA issue because no finals have been taken yet. If it was a GPA issue from before the seaaon started then AR would be ineligible and never could have played a game. Stop just saying crap.

Almost as if, Reese is getting over something, or waiting on something to be done, and/or get clearance. It could be academics; could be a family situation, or it could be punishment from Mulkey from something she did, that she's trying to make up for. Who knows? Just stay tuned. LOL

It’s very simple to say “conduct detrimental to the team and she will be back when expectations are met?” Nothing is wrong with that. Is she pregnant?
