This problem wasnt somethung i had to figure out but like your wiring issue but still a funny/ interesting story. I used to do paint and body for AWR, (the people Mercedes sublets through) and we had a new amg that was hit in the ass. So we pull the bumper; pull the reflectors, sensors, valences, etc; sanded and repainted it. But for some reason the valences were riveted and double sided clippled so it took foreverrrrrr to remove. And then on top of tat, after the new bumper was painted, cleared and ready to put the stuff from the old bumper we noticed something weird in the clear coat, it was a beard hair about 8 inches long, so I had to reprep and repaint it again!

I would recommend a larger cable between the circuit breaker and the starter. I'm running 1/0 with my battery relocation for the power side. I'm also running a 1/0 for the ground from battery to frame and 4 gauge for the engine to body, body to frame, and engine to frame grounds and have zero issues. Keep up the great content! I'm loving the new frequency of videos.

Horse chicks and car guys are like chicken and waffles. They just go together, man. My wife gets me on a completely different level. She understands what it is to throw everything at your passion despite the craziness of it. My wife is a three-day Eventing and dressage trainer and I build cars and crawlers. We winter down there in Ocala every year. It'd be rad to meet up while she's doing a clinic.

I would run a much thicker wire from the battery + to the starter and also a substantial body earth. Volt drop on 12v is huge when you pull alot of amps through a thin wire. When I relocated my battery to the trunk I opted for 50mm cable and ran the positive all the way to where the original battery was mounted. Keep up the great videos

Taylor, you might need to run a relay from solid power to the exciter wire on the starter. Then run the pmu to the relay on a 4 or 5 pin relay. You can get the relays from a wrecking yard, I usually use the Ford, dodge or vw ones. Basically the square box relays. That way you don't overload your circuits on the pmu. I think that thing is made to switch relays, not power high current things directly. I have a video of how I used a relay for my fans if you want to see how they wire. But it's basically 1 powers, one switched and one ground. You can make them switch on by ground or power..

One time my 4wd stopped working on my Tacoma so I went to figure out the problem. First I looked at basic stuff like fuses wire connectors and such had no luck, then I remove the electronic actuator at the diff which was a PITA, disassembled it to look at wire connections and trouble shot it and found nothing. Bought a new actuator installed and found out it didn't work, so now I'm stuck. Dug around online for wiring diagrams and used those to start trouble shooting and checked everything still no luck. Had a buddy come over and he checked the basic stuff again like fuses and wire connectors, low and behold 5 mins into his check he wiggled a connector that I had checked a couple of times and the wire popped out. Turned out to be a 5 min crimp and solder job for what took a week of trouble shooting. Pissed me off but I sure was relieved.

Here's my story of something simple that took way too damn long. It took me 3 days to chane one single wheel bearing on my maxima. The hub assembly was rusted so bad it took me from 6pm to midnight just to get it off the car and press the bearing out. Then the "master bearing kit" from autozone for whatever reason would not adapt to press in the new bearing. Tried it every way i could. So the next day i took it to a friends press to pop in the new bearing, and the outside race crumpled apart, all the bearings fell out. It was fucked. So the next morning before work i took the old bearing back and got a new one. Went and paid $40 bucks to have a shop press it, took it home after work and put it back together in an hour. I will have a shop press my bearings from now on😅
