Because he downplays all of his characters. He said Urien in SFV was trash, he says Victor and Feng are bad, Marisa is bad and that Gief is a bad match up for JP. He’ll blame anything and everything before doing any kind of self reflection.

Not in Tekken. It counts as a no contest. I'd have to go look at the new prohibitions that harada said he'll implement for quitters. Overall, Tekken considers plugging as a no contest and only reduced the person quittings points by a decent amount but not as much as losing an actual match.
