@BigBoyKaveman there still is great hiphop from the states. you cant say "fuck american rap", you sound like you never listened to underground hiphop. the commersial rap is bullshit, yes, but there is alot of music that isnt commersial, that doing it for the art. hiphop aint dead. its just been treated wrong.
It's not a diss track at all you tool. Nas was making a statement about the culture at the time and how rappers aren't in control of the industry. Not that hip hop as a culture has somehow died.
