This was the last tower of our trip, so everyone was quite tired, so the ringing is not Fantastic.

Yeh, just a bit!! Surprising really, these were Rudhall, recast by Taylors.
I think the wheels are maybe marginally too big, but they do go slow!! They are old though, and as far as I know, they're hung plain, surprisingly!! Look at the LACK of pull I give it.
you would be surprised ifthe right amount of oil is in the plain bearng and it is good condition they will go smoother than ball bearings. st mewan is like that.
I don't overly prefer one from the other. Oh woww, good luck with that. What tower would that be? How are you doing with your ringing now? And how are the tubulars?
