Hi, I’m looking for a bag that would fit a 13inch laptop, dslr with 18-55mm and a 70-300 and room for more lenses. I also need room for a dji Mavic mini. Would you recommend the 350 or 450, and a GoPro with accessories like chest harness and floaty

@@joelsmtb3511 Hi, I would probably recommend the 450 - in particular if you’re carrying multiple lenses. However, I would ask yourself how often & why you need to carry all that - I’ve been going through a phase of trying to travel as light as possible and only if I feel the shoot warrants it do I load up the big bag. Otherwise, I just use a small day bag - hope this helps.

After several years going through several bags I bought the 1st version ProTactic 450aw in 2016 and am still using it. It has taken a beating and is still in great shape. (It's heavy loaded with gear). I also got the 350 version at about the same time for when I do long hikes to keep the weight down and for carrying minimal gear. After using both bags for 4 years now I still feel no desire to replace them, they work great for me and are awesome packs....

I'm looking into get the 350 .. however I have a Mamiya RB67 with 127 mm.. do you feel it would fit in comfortably?

Fantastic video, great quality and very informative. Thank you. Also got to say nice job properly tagging your video for search results. This video was second on recommended when searching the name of this bag, with all the other videos being in the 20-50k view range.

I just found this video and have subscribed as I'm also in Birmingham so nice to see another Brummy on KZread! I finally got ths bag around a month ago after waiting on places to get it in stock. It's a fantastic bag and I'd certainly recomend it. Only annoyance for me is that my laptop doesn't fit but not too much of a problem as it's rare I'll need my laptop in the bag but would have been handy when flying places. Other than this problem I love the bag because it is so customisable and can hold loads of gear. Also like you say it's extremely durable and comfortable.

I am actually curious if you have the first version (I do at this moment) and your views if it warrants an upgrade.

To be fair, its a molle system bag. You can buy a molle pouch and attach it to the bag for more easy to reach accessories 7:20

yeah the molle system. you can have all the flexibility there.. idk maybe water pouches or big pouches. for storing random things... anything works. EDC pouches first aid.. .. awesome bag.. gona order one now.. thanks for video.. awesome quality

Great video overall. In the beginning you mentioned about big improvement from the first version of the backpack, however you didn't describe those advantages and improvement. Also from my personal point of view I wish you showed how tripod could be carried with this backpack which is usually the case for an outdoor backpack. I really enjoy the content in general, thanks for the review it is very helpful.

Hi where are the places you filmed with the drones?

I enjoyed your video regarding this bag. I have been looking for a bag to carry my Canon 90D, 4 lenses, and my Mavic Pro Drone and controller. I was originally looking at the Lowepro Whistler 450 aw ii, but after watching your video ive just purchased this bag instead. As well as being retired the cost was a factor, and seeing they're on special here in Australia at present swayed my decision. Thanks for your video.

@@andrewford80 I love my 450 AW II bag. Fits all my camera gear in. Being a landscape photographer it gets knocked around and put in places where it gets dirty etc. It has done everything it was advertised as doing. Highly recommend this bag.

Is there any storage for a water bottle ?

Ive had the ProRunner 350 for a long time now probably over 10 years but have long outgrown it and it has been a really tough bag, but equipment wise it now doesn't have the capacity I need. So its either the Protactic 450 AWII or the Flipside 500 AWII. Im leaning towards the Protactic as it just seems a bit tougher for the long haul. (Keyboard apostrophes not working).

anewcareerinanewtown the 450 is definitely a tough bag and I’ve no doubt it would last you many years (I particularly like the ‘hard shell’ that gives you that bit of extra confidence) and personality, the capacity is perfect and have recently been travelling with it as my only bag, but that is helped slightly by having two mirrorless cameras. However, it will boil down to personal choice but I don’t think you’d go too far wrong with either 👍

Thanks, I use a 2015 MacBook Pro and that fits nicely, with a tiny bit of extra room so I believe you would fit the 2016 (as I don’t think the chassis is much bigger) but worth checking the dimensions or even better, taking it to a store and trying it if anyone by you stocks the bag 👍

Can I fit in nikon 500mm in there ?

Nice video but it’s lacking in info. I wish you would have showed the removable belt and the number of loops on it and I believe there 4 accessories pouches/water bottle holder that come with the bag.

Thanks for the comment. These are mainly things that I choose not to use, so didn’t think it fair to comment and as it’s not a ‘new’ bag, I assume most people would be aware of what it comes with. However, I’ll keep your feedback in mind for future reviews 👍

Can someone please measure the laptop compartment depth? I have 15.6" laptop (38cm wide) so it exceeds the "nominal" dimensions stated by Lowepro and I'm not sure whether it will fit. Thanks

Hi, I've just done a very quick measurement and the laptop compartment *seems* to be 38cm deep (so the width of the laptop) - HOWEVER - that is right against the zipper and even though there may be a little stretch, I can not say for sure whether you're laptop would fit. I would suggest checking your return options before purchasing :)

It might feel a little large. I’m 6 feet and wear the straps quite long, so it hangs a bit lower on my back. You might find that with the straps tightened it sits higher up, but I would class it as quite a large bag

idly you could fit all of those things apart from the gimbal, that’s the reason I would like a more flexible pouch on it, but Lowepeo do make a bag very similar with a pouch on the front but I can’t remember the name 👍

idly if it’s a similar size to the Weebill S - No, there’s probably a way of doing it as the bag itself is quite deep but not without some messing around, and then I wouldn’t want to run the risk of things banging into each other, far better if it just had an external pouch to fit it in 👍

Yes, it's still a great bag!

Actually its not , i have 5 lowepros , 600 trekker 2 pro tactics 200trekker ,,, etc etc, i grew out of lowepro 450,, nowhere for 140mm filter kit , the temba axis 32 /24 do , plus other gear in very similar package , so [[ is it the best ]] not if you use pro filters , theres nowhere for them , plus lowepro padding is a bit poor in comparison to tembas , iv used my spare temba particians in my lowepro to stiffen it up , (the lowepro stands up if you rearange the rain cover in the base ) cant believe how dumb people are after so called owning them ! And not doing a 5 minute review
